I am crocheting a baby sweater and the stitch I am caught up on is on the sleeves-

(Work a further 3 rows even in hdc. Rep last 4 rows 2 (3-4-4) times more. 33 (37-39-41, 43) sts. Repeat last 4 rows 4 rimes more. 39 st.) there is only 29 sts. pls help.

@jelly1245 Slow motion starts at time code 2:08 and lasts through time code 3:21. Watch the video the next time before you try to critique something you have not watched. If you are a beginner, you will need to learn the basic stitches.

You should be grateful to Teresa, that she is trying to teach everybody and you don't even have to pay for it. She is a generous and talented lady and I learned from her so much as the only thing I could do were chains or borders. I just love her videos and thank them so much. (c; Please add the last segment of this video "joining ribbing edges to form a cuff or band" to your list of tips. I remembered this segment when I learned the ribbing stitch and was happy to find it again today! You can do this with double crochet. I have a tutorial for Half Double crochet. It would be the same only using a double crochet instead.

I'd like to apply this ribbing stich to a beanie, is that possible? Like the ribbing going vertically on the beanie.

You can do it. There are two ways you can do it.

1.You can make the ribbing by attaching it to the beanie as you go along. You will have the weight of the hat at an awkward angle.

2.I prefer to make the ribbing separate and attaching upon completion. This method is quicker and looks nicer when finished.

When you complete the first side of ribbing, you would just crochet in the top of the stitches, like you regularly crochet so you won't be creating the ribbing effect.

Not only can you use it for the ribbing on a sweater but you could make a headband if that is something you would use.
