well there are reasons why roy want in brawl,hes almost like marth in move set just with fire damage,plus the brawl game used both of the dual layer,even bowser jr and toon zelda were gona be in (ive seen there pac files but no model or texture in it) one layer covers the stages and the characters and stuff,the other layer holds the HQ cutscenes (thats why brawl doesnt have an awesome intro like melee) there were gonna be a lot more of characters in brawl but due to the lack of space they didnt.

@teero121 Unfortunately for texture hacks, Roy looks nothing like Marth. Maybe it would work for you if you never looked at your character or your vision was blurry, but besides that, they're totally different. No, it's not possible.

@ganonslayer01 While Nintendo doesn't seem to get that having the same and more characters from the prequel is /very/ important, Roy was used for promotional purposes for FE6 in Japan. They said that adding in Ikr instead would bring recognition to American gamers, as Ike's games were both released here.

@addmealready Roy was slower, weaker (he did have some attacks that were stronger, but they were slower, more dangerous, and very hard to pull off in most situations), lighter, and his recovery move wasn't as good as Marth's. But I'm not one to judge characters based on their moves. Marth, Roy, and Ike should all be in the game in my opinion, and unfortunately you can't change who is or isn't in the game. Roy's more fun and cuter though... ;D

Roy in a sense is a sort of perfect medium between marth and ike. he's not tremendously overpowered, but then again he's not really slow either

The main reason why Marth is in Brawl is because he is in the very FIRST Fire Emblem game. And Ike is in Brawl so us American Fire Emblem fans are happy. Because Ike was technically the Lord from the last Fire Emblem game (Radiant Dawn).
