Chris Mccarron! Look out because here I come! Horses are my life, i have always worked with western eventers. I have a horse farm that we breed and sell the foals. I am 14 right now but i am going to finish my high school and then head out to Kentuckey! I currently live in Pennsylvannia, so it will be a far distance from home. However i have been in Kentuckey before at the Kentuckey horse park. I love it there. I would advise anyone here who is debating to just do it and have fun!
I wondered what Chrissy was up to. I'm so glad to see the students cleaning stalls and feeding, grooming .etc. because you have to start from the ground up. You can't just think that you're going to be a jockey ,you have to earn it.And if it doesn't work out you can still be a Groom, exercise rider, pony boy/girl, asst.trainer, foreman so you need to know all of the duties of each and have respect for what those people do. It isn't all money and glamour and fame. It's hard work .You better love it!
that is my dream to go there! i read that the limit of hieth is 5 ft and something inches and im getting a little tall and ive got a long way till im able to get there so i dont think im able to go.:( but im able to be an excersise jockey and i found a training center so... this place looks amazing! ive allready handled a horse running full around a dirt loop bareback and saddle and was able to low down and its funner then ever! this would be an amazing carreer!
Yeah i guess so. Like I said, they really only care about weight. they still will interview you and ask you questions so even if you are ideal jockey size, you may not get in
I got accepted there two summers ago, but was offered and athletic scholarship for college. I'm going to reapply next summer. Any advice for when I do? What do most of the people there weigh?
i hope i can go there! i've been looking at this college for about a year now! i've been looking on their website, and looking at prices, and looking at applications. it looks hard to be accepted into it, because i only saw about 20 students in a picture, but im going to try my best!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I wonder if they give them MIDGET food like lettuce and air?
Most jockeys should be deported to Mexico or Kansas.
There should be NO JOCKEYS on horses. MOst of them stiff their horses. Saving money on horse racing would be to do this.
Get rid of these midgets and send them back to Mexico.

Wow! That's ironic. I'm flying to Kentucky Monday and taking a tour of the place on Tuesday! Talk about coincidence.
Yeah, see you there! Whether next week or August!
