You can create an adhoc wifi network between laptop and iPad rather than connecting to a wifi router. I've been doing this with touchosc without noticeable latency.

i think the only thing i dont like about it is that i have to be on a wifi network to make it work. i mean, as a dj i dont think most of the clubs i will play at will have a strong, reliable, bulletproof wifi network i can count on. Sorry if i'm wrong about something, im really interested on getting this software mate. Thanks

Really excited about the release of Midipad. Is there any way of getting on the Beta before official release? Failing that, any idea when we can expect it to hit iTunes?

@plasticated its a beta right now. still adding features and functions. but we are very close to version one. till the end of may we will put the release to the store. beta testers are welcome. just give us your contacts and we will let you now when its time.
