@strikerk Haha, sorta but for its time the GBA does have decent games and I'm not really a sound person so I don't really care. ;D

@defunct32 You're probably a bit younger too. If you had played this on the SNES first, you'd see why we keep mentioning the sound. The reverb, bass and depth of the SNES was so good and memorable. It's funny cuz the GBA is newer, so you'd think it'd have been better at it. XD lol

@strikerk Actually my first RPG was Chrono Trigger in 1996 on the SNES and I've played quite a few RPGs/games on the very same system ^.^ I agree the sounds was superior but it's just that I'm not too particular about the sound as long as the gameplay, combat system and lastly story/plot are engaging I could compromise the sound, haha, I'm easy to please I guess?

the music doesnt sound as good in this...poorer quality or something..i swear the save statues theme sounded a lot better in the original snes game but i'm glad they gave ryu a face portrait in the menus and made things more understandable...i could barely know what armor or weapon was better in the snes...i kind of had to guess hahah

I had no trouble with knowing what armor/weapon was better. The menu system is better in this. I see they kidded it down based on the newer portraits. I wished square didnt pass this off to capcom.

tru ebut during your first time playing it can be hard knowing what equipment was better but its blantantly obvious that most things in new towns are better but i didnt like it that it didnt tell you until you bought and equipped it because sometimes the armor had more defense but decreased your attack or something

@blank404 this series was made by Capcom, Square had nothing to do with it except publishing the very first one since Capcom wasn't a name in rpg land and a Square logo on the box would ensure them sales.

Capcom only remade breath of fire. Its original creaters were squarsoft(now known as Square Enix)

I still have my guide for the SNES Game. GBA Game so far plays exactly the same. Egg stratagy ok. Throw the egg into the castle. the birds will take care of the guards. Then you can just walk into the castle. Very simple.

as good as this version is, it just doesn't stack up to the snes, the snes just sounds so much more clearer in the audio department. the gba version sounds like its been butchered, it sounds scratched up. Same goes with gfx, it looks blurred up, pixalated at some parts also. The only thing this version surpasses is more content but thats about it. All in all a nice game for the GBA
