Basically, Church of Christ is VERY traditional - if I'm not mistaken - and they usually have full choirs and don't like the 'modern music.'

@cranejoanne not sad. I grew up in Church of Christ, and being able to actually HEAR your fellow Christians sing is 1) uplifting and 2) comforting in a weird way. I don't like only being able to hear myself and a piano and/or whatever other instruments my be playing. Call me weird, but it makes me a bit lonely. Then again, I dont really know much other, except for Baptist(on my mom's side).

@allanvs Actually, no. I am of the Church of Christ, and we believe that instrumental music is not taught in the bible. It was used in the Old Testament, but we are never instructed to use instruments. Christians are told to "make melodies in your heart", and since we are told not to add or take away from the scripture, we play it safe and simply sing. No instruments involved.
