  • The Highway One Fender pickups were miles better sounding than that Lace guitar. Have you ever played this back to review it yourself? You should. You just unsold the Lace pickups to me. I've heard them sound much better but not in this video or on a Huntington guitar. Listen to this video for yourself.

  • @doinkusamongus When he first played the MIM Strat in this video I was "Man, this sounds so much better, so much more organic than the Lace." In this video the Lace PUs sound dead.

  • @tgv1975 Yeah.. this is really sad and hard to witness or hear. I have early Lace pickups in an old (early 70s) Japanese Squier that sing. Like you said, the sound on here is dead. Thanks man!

  • This is actually a pretty good demo of the pickups, regardless of whether or not the guitar is in tune. I found it helpful!

  • definately the gold thats best.

  • Lace Sensor Hot Gold take the cake

  • OH my god get a real amp. The distortion on that thing is laughable. Talk about zero clarity! WTF is it running the tubes @ 3 volts or something? HAHAHA =))

  • It's encouraging that the manufacturer of that guitar is employing the blind in their headstock design department.

  • Jeez. Everything is wrong with this demo.

  • ok i change my mind don't tune your guitar, just put it down NEVER touch it again and go kill yourself, i mean really?? not even when i first started playing guitar did i #1 never have a guitar that out of tune while i played it and #2 have such shitty tone EVER!!!

  • it's called tuning your guitar... you should try it sometime

  • JEEZ LOUISE, TUNE YOUR GUITARS BEFORE DEMO-ING. DO YOU NEED EAR TRAINING/? I REALLY WANTED TO GET SOMETHING FROM YOUR VIDEO BUT I CAN'T BECAUSE THE INTONATION IS SO BAD... C'MON DUDE...

  • Truth be told I expected more out of the Lace Holy Grail, but i'll keep looking for other audio clips to hear it at other EQ's. Clean i'd rather have the Tex-Mex pups, driven, I suppose it's about a player's taste, but I like the punchy focused sound of the noiseless Lace's though the Fender pups do have nice growl.

  • @Asillyhobo i wouldn't judge the lace sensor pickups by this review, they are good pickups. They reason they don't sound as good as the strat pickups is because the lace sensors are loaded into a cheap $300 guitar, whereas the highway one strat retails at $999.

  • The deathbucker kinda sucks....

  • finally got to the pickup I wanted to hear and played mediocre muted crunch crap the entire time. Waste of time.
