This review was very very poor. The reviewer is talking about the diesel engine as if it is the first new-gen diesel out there. They've been around for a few years now!!

No interior shots of the car - dash, console etc - which is pathetic for a so-called car review, and no real insights into ride quality, handling, rear seat accomodation, boot space, relaibility...................­..............................­........................

I drive a mk5 golf tdi 1.9 and get 45mpg on short trips and 52mpg at 70mph, the new models can get 50-60mpg in the UK

@NoxNoctisUmbra The only reason I would get a golf with a petrol engine was if I was getting the GTI.

@NoxNoctisUmbra get the TDi, and if for some reason you need a bit more power, have it chipped, then you'll be putting out the same horse power as the 5cyl gas golf at 170hp, but have around 280lbft, and your fuel economy will actually go up a little bit, if you don't thrash it

this car will be down 140hp 2.0engine.. wow thats a gas drinker,.. the new chevrolet aveoRS is turbo 1.4engine and has 138hp.. now Aveo RS win! also the looks and interior is a killer!

Gas drinker? People have been averaging low 40's with these TDI's. Are you talking about a diesel Aveo or something? That is great but still useless to me. They don't sell those where I live although it would be cool if they did. Over here in the States you either are either stuck with a gay hybrid or buy the TDI if you want something efficient so it is easy to see how the TDI is so appealing.

I didn't need to view this video to know I was going to purchase one but one thing people don't know right away is that these cars are in very limited supply. I ordered mine from Santa Monica Volkswagen and was told it was going to take 3 months to get it. I have 2 more months to wait and I'm counting the days. I'll post my own vid of it.

another reason to choose a tdi vs the gas model is the tdi engine and transmission are both made in germany, vs mexico and argentina like in the gas model

But what he didn't cover was the performance figures (around 8 sec to 60 mph) or the cars cruising abitilty in 6th...!
