@miafrancheska yes it will; i think the battery is only good for something like 500 charges, so you should only charge when you absolutely have to (don't keep 'topping up')

It's good for about 500 full charges, but it may be able to do 1000 or more partial charges. I'm on year 3 with my 3G - charging every night and still going strong.

I find it frustrating that all these steps have to be taken to attain the battery life stated on the iphone ad. If Apple can advertise stating a battery life of 10 hours or more then, It's only fair that they include in the very same advert the necessary steps that need to be covered (3g off, display lowest, no 3D intense games, Push off etc) in order to attain the advertised battery length.

You forgot something. Go to General and turn off Location Services. That is the GPS and it takes up a lot of battery. Turn it off when you're not using it. It saves A LOT of battery life.

Turning off push is bad advice. Push doesn't use battery since the cell tower is what connects to the phone to initiate pushed email, not the other way around.

The only time push is worse than fetch is if you receive many many emails throughout the day or really throughout the hour to half hour. In that case it would make more sense to fetch data.
