Learn to read, chokin. I'm not justifying Israeli actions. It's one thing to defend yourself. It's quite another to kill civilians. The killing of civilians has as it's goal the terrorising of a population and pressure upon it's government. That is the accepted definition of terrorism. It doesn't work tactically, and it is imoral based upon any reasoned, intelligent standard.

You seem to be under the misunderstanding that I am somehow defending Israel. If Israel is deliberately targetting civilians, then they are committing terrorism. By the same token, I happen to think that the allied firebombing of Dresden was an act of terrorism, as was the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Likewise, suicide bombing & other such targetting of civilians be Hezbollah is terrorist by definition.

Dresden continues to be an issue...there is a debate in Canada over some paintings and comments at Canada's war museum over the issue...some veterans are upset at what they see as an indictment against their efforts in the war. It's a hard thing to talk about, and I'm lucky I was never in that situation. But the bottom line is I see no justification for killing civilians, ever, by whatever side.
