I've nothing against the possibility or actuality of immortality, and I understand that there are some immortals living among us though I never personally met one. I believe, however, that very few can master the necessary mental and psychological discipline to achieve this. Those that do are probably selected and have a specific mission and special particular duties to perform--earth angels, if you will.

this group is a non-destructive cult, a human transformation cult, but a cult nonetheless. I went to one event whom a neighbor asked me to attend, and you get the 'pull' immediately: some inspiring music, a nice looking man and leader of sorts smooth-talking the members; rapturous devotion (huzzahs) abound with personal testimony (group cohesion); feting of these jokers in the video when they took the stage. The regulars were just gaga in this event.These people are scam artists. Stay away.

What do You consider a cult, a small group of people who like to think outside the box and have a cooperative attitude? @Myflesh101 um, no. At the one and only event I went to roughly 4 months ago, even Strole said these words: "People say we're a cult, but we're a good cult." Those were his words. The last a checked, no cult per se, is looked at favorably. One aspect of a cult is the use of its own terminology. The charlatans of PU use the term "cellular intercourse," whatever the hell that means. I think the ABC News investigation of this group in the 1980s (see v=9MU8L4Javj4) says much about their character.

@meanstoaend I'm Just sayin why not pick on the companies peddling sugar to kids? Seems tony the tiger is a much bigger "Charlatan" and the people buying it are the "Cult", this is just one of many examples of people being sold something that is proven to harm health(especially kids) and being allowed to market it as a legitimate food. These companies it seems to me are much more malevolent than some people having a positive attitude about longevity.

@meanstoaend At least these people are well researched and go into depth about the relationship between attitude and biochemistry and if You see this research as a scam then I guess you haven't done much research into the research thats been done on mindbody medicine. I haven't seen much in the way of whether they have actually created biochemical changes with this attitude, visually not much seemingly. I think it's a great attitude though, we'll see what happens.

the lady's cute. i wonder how old she is. anyway, i wish these fellows the best success, but have to say i doubt they're gonna make it. they're a little too passionate about their cause, & are "fighting" death a little too much. i think if there are immortals, it's the old gentle taoists living in the misty mountains. they say that they've surrendered to the flow so much & have become so childlike that even the sutures of their skulls have loosened like a baby's.

@JackHighlander Yeah I often feel that surrendering is a gateway to more longevity because of the ease of flow & the type of physiology surrender engenders. Then again getting to the moon was not entirely about surrender necessarily, it was about WILL, and perhaps human will is whats going to be the means to the type of longevity we are talking about here, like any technology. Attitude helps though.

@JackHighlander If there are Taoists or Yogis etc that have lived hundreds or thousands of years and we assume these stories are possible then I feel that surrender and being in absolute peace is what allowed this physiology of longevity to perpetuate, stepping out of ALL resistance and not fighting anything. This "non-fighting" allows one be in total harmony with nature and then the power of nature is truly revealed and the cells can reflect this by regenerating continuously.

Cells cannot reproduce their DNA exactly and with enough repetitions for most people to last more than, say, 80 years. Some last longer. Then there is the disease problem, of which there are many. Medical care is the third leading cause of death. You are already immortal. Don' worry 'boudit. The other side is more real than this one.

We have the capacity to live for millenniums because these potentials are waiting for us to discover in the human experience which is quite Godly. Keep in mind most people have not even accessed more than 10% of their brain. This is why physical immortality has to truly be advocated so humanity realizes what's waiting for it.

Human experience can only be maximized here in this physical reality. Everything after it remains unaffected by our selfish desire to persist indefinitely. The process of getting old is quite complicated, convolutingly so. Some 'thing' went through a great deal of trouble to create this cycle of life and death, therefore our desires should be focussed on determining the reason for life (which no one knows) and it's not living forever or staying young.

Additionaly they have included a video featuring Aubrey de Grey who believes in physical immortality through science not through consciousness. This leads me to believe that the full picture of how to attain physical immortality is not covered by People Unlimited. They also believe that through a community can they achieve this rather than individualy. I personally feel physical immortality is achieveable but I do not feel the 3 PU leaders are achieving it. However I do feel they are profiting.

Sadly, most people do not believe in the power of their own spirit/mind or soul to keep their body healthy and young. Science already turned human cells immortal (mainly by adding the enzyme telomerase) but it takes time to figure out how to make the whole body younger. I think that relying only on science and hoping that it solves the problem is very somnambulant.

Mammals have somehow lost the ability to regenerate limbs, spinal cord, optical nerves and so on, but science reactivated this ability within rats in a laboratory and their body is able to heal heavy injuries and traumas.

I feel that it is possible to attain physical immortality through the synchronization of soul and body. In fact I feel it is the separation of soul and body that leads to aging. When one is preoccupied with making money, maintaining relationships, traveling here and there, tv, computer, eating, etc. how can one ever reach the final level of fully merging the spirit/soul with the physical body. Physical immortality is achievable but only with the right conscious and sub-conscious programming :)

What do you know about immortals or their ambitions about it? Immortality is a choice. In other civilisations immortality is completely natural, only humans have such a low will to live in this world that many actually want to die and constantly create pseudo-arguments against immortality, perhaps because of the sick system we live in or of their screwed up childhood or depressions.

If God is life than you're correct that life does not require death.  But, suffering and death may be required for the human experience. Contrast is essential even spiritually; the ying must have the yang, so if all our experience knew was God's love then it would not be appreciated. Aging is slow physical death. Its a hard experience to move through for a reason. I feel that reason is because deep down inside we know we are dying slowly. It is not just about looking like a young sexy adult in their early to mid 20s. Its more than trying to look like the models that big corporations use to sell products. Its deeper than all that.

Additionally, I feel people deep down know that they do not have to die and that they have the ability to repair cell damage resulting from natural human processes like breathing and metabolism. It is this hidden belief that makes people find it so hard to age. They know they do not have to but, they are programmed to be addicted to stress forming activities like watching negative tv, dramatic relationships, bad diet, etc. So the name of the game is deprogramming the belief system.
