  • Scooby Dooby Doo (y)

  • Quintessential Kinks and I love seeing how relaxed and enjoying it all they are. Awesome song by the masters. Matt thank you for posting this!

  • Great Song!

  • Green Days Warning Sounds Better,, Lol Just Sayin...

  • @manytsq65 *Cough* THIEVES! *Cough*

  • Dam this does sound like warning by green day

  • sounds like they recorded this live in advance and then lip synced the live performance. they're fucking up the performance on purpose to show it. weird!

  • @jkbosh Weird,I agree....but cool too. I look at lots of early Beatle promos(videos) and they do the same thing.Just having fun, screw up on purpose.Because videos weren't as important in the 60s as they eventually became in the 80s, to the record business money making engine. They were for record companies,a few TV shows and prosperity. They could screw around because they knew it had nothing to do with selling music. That all changed in 1982 with MTV.But now MTV is a joke.

  • Wow Dave got all the looks in that family!!!!

  • Love the "Scooobie Dooobie Doo...." part! Hahahahahah

  • what is the slead singer doing with his lips from 2:00 to 2:07?! xD looks ridiculous

  • @Marcusvlogs Nothing Ray Davies does with his lips is EVER ridiculous! bite your tongue :)

  • Kinks rock. No one like 'em and never will be.

  • As a long time Kinks fan, somehow this song passed me by---was missing this album. So grateful to have found it. KINKS - YES!

  • Scooobie Dooobie Doo....Wouldn't it be great if the Kinks reformed and played the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony supported by Chas & Dave and Madness?

  • Lol Warning is in the suggestion section on the side of the screen. Both songs are good.

  • Briliant, observant songs that nobody else thought to write.

  • The face @ 2:04

  • dave flirted at me during this song in 2002.

  • Coolest group ever!

  • Aww greenday u so lazy ;) naw jk i love them

  • I love this tune. So sublime.

  • need to share this.

  • Thanks for posting a great live performance. Is there a live take out there or People Take Pictures of Each Other? Kinks are underrated!

  • Hmm...there's one thumbs down for this video. Does Scrouge frequent Youtube?

  • this song is the influence of bbillie joe (warning)

  • this should have more views than it already has!

  • This just broke 'Warning' for me after 10 years of loving it. Jesus, what the hell were Green Day thinking!?

  • @biconditionals Was that meant as an insult against the Kinks or Green Day? Fuck you in both cases

  • @mixmmick Whoa whoa cool it, that wasn't meant as an insult against either band. Simply that I was kind of bummed to find out that 'Warning' was actually a rip off of this (whether a conscious one or not). Kind of took the magic out the song. But both bands have a lot of other great songs.

  • best kinks song

  • Best guitar riff ever !

  • it's Warnig by green day xD

  • Another piece of genius from The Kinks! I love their lyrics, their tunes, how they play! Thank you! ¡Gracias!

  • Esos sujetos me dan lastima ¿POR QUÉ ESCUCHO ESTO?

  • hey i'm from Oakland and i'm pretty sure they knew exactly what they where doing re-working that riff' i don't know Billie very well but a few of his hommies are my good friends as well. i happen to know they've covered the kinks in the past.i think they were trying to be cute with this one ...kinda like rappers do every day.

  • Pete Quaife is playng bass just lik bill wyman!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song

  • Picture books are depressing!

  • Warning is the exact same chords lol green day

  • @blasty109 green day did! Lol naw the kinks are great

  • This song is great. Poppy, quirky lyric, good riff, happy, nostalgic. Totally under-rated. So stop arguing you morons, and just listen and groove.

  • a brilliant group - a huge influence on pop music on so many levels -- How many successful acts out there started out covering or ripping off Kinks songs & ideas ???

  • @jcr4runner heres another! when did the Jam cover David Watts?

  • Please. Shut. Up.

  • some people are really stupid eh? the only people the kinks ripped off were very old black people, not van halen or whatever other crap you mentioned.

  • The Kinks ripped off Van Halen? Don't make me laugh. Get your dates straight.

  • OMG this sounds way to much like Warning by Green Day..

    I hope it's just coincedince. :p

  • but they look so happy :)

  • Yes, The kinks -- the biggest rip-off artists of all time. They ripped off Van Halen (You Really Got Me) and the Pretenders (Stop Your Sobbing) -- not mention those AC-DC school boy uniforms in Schoolboys in Disgrace!

  • @jcr4runner And they ripped off Little Richard as well as Chuck Berry

They were sure ahead of their time if they wrote those songs and wore what they wore.

  • @jcr4runner This song came out almost ten years before Van Halen formed you fucking moron

  • @gan1455

I was being ironic. It's an inside joke among fans. Each one of The Kinks' songs predates the example I gave.

    Now let's see who's a moron:

You wrote: "... almost ten years" ...

    YRGM The Kinks -- 1964

    YRGM Van Halen -- 1978

    Oh well, everybody needs education.

You hear all kinds of references in Kinks music and lyrics -- including their own. Ray Davies seems to do it consciously. But who knows? All music is derivative of "something else."

And I should know, I'm an art lover!

  • @jcr4runner You ironic individual you

  • Well doesn't this just sound a bit like warning?

  • THEY RIPPED OFF GREENDAY WARNING.

  • @24oscar24 You fail. Green Day are the ones who did the rip-off

  • @24oscar24

are you sure THEY ripped off Warning? This song is from 1968 btw.

lol "Warning" is even in the related videos

  • @24oscar24 They formed in the 60s you fucking idiot

  • No se nota ni nada el playback

  • Kinks are amazing no one ever mentions them. One of the true greatest bands of all time.

  • Mhmm Green Day's Warning! is not bad as well (aww sorry I couldn't help myself ;X)

  • The kinks the greatest band there ever was, is, or ever will be. God save the kinks!

  • @krankiekat ..... I agree The Greatest band there ever was .... God Save the Kinks .... PLEASE Reform for God's Sake

  • @SEVFEST No Peter Quaife. :-( R.I.P.

  • @JohnnnyThunder ..... as much as I Loved Peter there should still be Life After Breakfast I would go with the next best on bass John Dalton...... RIP Peter You are missed......

  • @krankiekat

I literally just discovered the kinks this morning and i can't fucking stop listening to them. every song is good. every single fucking song i've heard so far. I feel the same way i did when i first discovered the Beatles.

  • @DeadJ0ker27 Just wait until you get to the mid-70s. You'll want to retract that comment. Haha.

  • @FetaCheese222

i'm guessing the mid 70s stuff really sucked.
