I think our prolonged engagement in the middle east causes more young muslims to join the jihad, however I do not think that there would be no incentive once we leave. Since the 1980s, Bin Laden and Zawahiri have called for jihad against the corrupted, secular influence of the west on Islamic society. While our continued presence on the continent may be adding fuel to the fire, they have been calling for jihad against America since before we arrived

Almost all Politicians are intrested in power more than the people.... We also should have just not gotten involved in foreign affairs earlier on, in the cold war the rebels would have fought the Russians off on their own. Furthermore we stayed there too long, which was one of the reasons that the taliban hate us. This is a bit biased, boldseduction69. There are questions surrounding Senator Obama such as the Rev. Wright, and islamic ties for instance. He is also very liberal in his views. Most Americans are not flaming racists. If anything goes against Senator Obama it has more to do with the seeds of distrust being sown from the direction of his own pastor for instance. Questions are not being adequately answered I don't think. The majority vote is what will show the direction my nation will take.

Thomas Jefferson was an atheist and no religion was founded on American soil. If you do your research my little friend, you would find that even the Masons and Skull & Bones have and have had Muslim members. A major part of the constitution was derived from the Holy Quran.
