The reason that the big 4 always qualify is because these countries are the ones that fund Eurovision. If they had to qualify through the semi-final, they never would because of political voting. This would mean that these countries would withdraw their donations to the EBU and there would not be a Eurovision song contest. So, you should be happy that they automatically qualify!

Britain does not always end up last, in the past we have won five times only to be beaten by ireland. we have the highest average score, the winner that won by the biggest margin and the most sets of tens for one song.
