  • Jerusalem burrowing cricket also know as a Ant Loin.You can find them by looking for dirt mounds with a hole in the middle,you may also find trails of it comeing and going. THEY DO BITE!

  • It's a potato bug. It's completely harmless, though it can give an extremely painful bite. Ironically its called the skull bug (like the warning on toxins) lol.

  • These aren't that rare. I've seen several in my life around the East Bay, near San Francisco. I've caught a few barehanded, but be careful of their powerful bite. They are Jerusalem crickets, a large flightless (not sure) burrowing cricket.

  • Yep! I opened another window and then Goggled it. It is called a Potato bug, or a Jerusalem Cricket. I saw 6 pictures which were somewhat the same, yet they had some differences in color. Hmmm, interesting!

  • they youst to be commen in florida when i was a kid come to think of i never see em around any more! their called moll crickets. I remember digging around in the ground just as a kid will do and i didnt know i was digging into the area where one was and i pull the dirt out with my hands and the biotch bit me! Unfortanately for it. I had a praying mantis as a pet! well it became a lunch time snack for it! well so to say he wont be bitting any one else fo that matter!
