Reach got classed basically right before the setting of the first Halo game (Halo Combat Evolved). To get a full view of the storyline of Halo it isnt enough to just play the video games. You understand everything if you read the books. Halo The Fall Of Reach, Halo The Flood, Halo First Strike, Halo Ghosts Of Onyx and Halo Contact Harvest.
