  • Nothing I repeat nothing will change in America it will only get worse once K street is gone and Public financing of political parties is enacted. The blatant corruption in now starting to hit home.

  • Damn, I had to watch again.

I want this woman & Liz Warren for President & VP

  • I thought the teabager protesters were nonsense. But there was a spark of truth in them.

Rather than that stupid anti-Obama shit they did,

What if they said "President Obama Fight For Our Country", if they invited Blacks, Latino's, Liberals, Gays, everyone, with a massive march saying we reconize our Govmt is being stolen, we demand procsecution of those who destroyed our economy.

With speakers like Marcy Kaptur, Dennis K. even Ron Paul, all demanding Justice!

    Instead we had Foxnews trash

  • One of the few good people in congress.

  • Marcy Kaptur, nice to meet ya

    lol@ tsk tsk tsk

  • Real Reform...

    1) Remove FED

    2) Gold Standard

    3) Remove fractional reserve

    4) most importantly...remove Government.

Congress ONLY has the power to coin money (coin meaning a metal) and regulate the value thereof...

They have no authority in private banks, private enterprise, in the private market...none...period.

  • @helltrackrider - You'd rather give full authority to private industries that have proven over and over to be little more than thieves? People who have, over the growth of their companies, went from providing the service they said they would at a reasonable price, to giving shoddy, more expensive service for their own profit. You don't think that companies should follow consumer protection laws? They should be allowed to squeeze people for as much profit as possible for less production?

  • Lynx787...i said none of what you say...

I said, Government should stay the heck out of private enterprise, stay out of the dealings between the Consumer and the Provider...stay out of private financial decisions...

Coin money...regulate the value...let the people do the rest.

If someone wants to pay the bloated price to benefit the corporations, where is the problem? fact is, in a free market...another company will step in and offer the same service for cheaper to get the market share

  • @helltrackrider

So what does Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3 say?

  • uniform Bankruptcy laws?

how does this relate to what i was saying?

  • @helltrackrider

    That's clause 4

I was referring to the Commerce clause, clause 3

  • Commerce...keep commerce regular amongst the States

was unaware that this gace Congress the power to reulate businesses...it doesnt.

well...if you consider yourself a communist/progressive, then it entails that.

  • @hellatrackrider

    Or rather,

With the combination, of the 14th and the 16th amendment, unless it is specifically blocked in the constitution, congress can make practically anything legal.

And while these laws can be ignored by states, through the 10th amendment, they forgoe reimbursement of tax dollars, via the 16th amendment. Effectively making federal law binding.

    Fun how that works, eh?

  • Theft and loss of Sovereignty is real fun...i love being a serf.

dont you love how the 14th amendment was passed right after the tyrannt himself fucked this country; Lincoln...used to be, the way the American heirarchy was, Individual-State-Federal...now, Federal-State-Individual...thanks Lincoln/Johnson...you have forever (hopefully not) ruined America)

16th Amendment - another step towards Communism...

Land of Liberty - i think not.

  • @helltrackrider

    Well, that's the US Constitution

If you don't like it, either try to change it, leave the country, or stop whining about it ;D

I for one, am fully willing to follow the US Constitution, as it is written.

  • about the "Commerce Clause"...the way the Government uses it today, that is not the Constitution...same goes for the General Welfare clause...

I am for living by the ideology of the founders, the Declaration and the founding documents of this country...not by the Amendments of tyrannts and progressives who are demons to freedom and liberty...they, themselves, were treasonous in their acts and should be erased from the history books...but, the public education props them as the greatest ever

  • @helltrackrider

"Those amendments don't count, because I don't personally like them"

    Well too fucking bad.

Like said. Put up, Pull out, or Shut up.

  • dont recall saying that...

personally, no i do not agree with based on the founding principles of our Country...and neither would ANY person who believes in Life, Liberty and Property (Freedom) agree with these...

they are polar opposites...Freedom -vs- Communism

  • @helltrackrider

Heh, I was summarizing my impression of your comment.

The point being, if you want the law to be different from what it is. Then by all means try to change it.

But it gets rather tiring to hear how you think Amendments aren't legally binding. When the process is rather clear in Article 5 of the original document.

  • "legally" and within the intent of Freedom and Liberty are two different things...

look, its simple...America was founded due to an overpowering government...so, with that known, why would we (as Americans) want an overpowering government?...

Where is the freedom and liberty today? these are the fundemental principles that founded America...

point is...this is no longer America...the land of liberty is gone.

living under government rule is immoral and unjust.

  • @helltrackrider

Well, you may call it tyranny over the individual by the majority.

    Me, I call that Democracy.

  • my point.

America is no place for Democracy...Freedom/Liberty cannot exist with Democracy.

America is a Republic, this is why Obama should be removed from office (same goes for any representative) immediately...running around preaching about "Democracy"...nowhere in the US, nor States, constitutions will you find the owrd "Democracy"...

  • @greyflcn - Cons don't like Democracy (as is evinced by helltrackrider's comment) because it's government by the people in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents. To the cons that's socialism.

They clearly like to be run (and ripped off) by a corporate (banana) Republic that funnels all profits upwards towards the already wealthy aristocrats. The cons don't like equality, cooperation, sharing, compassion, etc. they like status.

  • @Lynx787 You really think that Democrats are any different? Wow.

  • @namehoela - Actually yes. Not all the dems are obviously bought off like the repubs. There are plenty of dems that are trying to fix what the repubs broke and are getting delayed at every step by the cons who don't want it fixed.

Dems want to change things like rape laws, businesses that con their customers, and actually getting government out of people's private lives by NOT dictating who they can sleep with, get married to, eat, smoke, or any other private thing like the right likes to.

  • I must amend this. Not dictating who they can sleep with does NOT include children, animals, corpses, or any other sick, twisted fantasy that the religious right came up with. I was thinking about prostitution, 'swing' clubs, or other consensual adult sex acts.

  • How is the US funding THEIR wars.

By counterfeiting money the gold price is so sensitive to counterfeiting that the price of gold goes up when the central bank is counterfeiting.

Same thing happened in 60's when Nixon was counterfeiting money to pay for the war and unfunded social benefits.

Looks like the world has to pay for the error called The United States of America.

International fraud and racketeering isn't the best way to run the global money system.

  • sounds like she nailed it on the head!

  • all this stuff: "rothschild, rockefeller, bilderberg " (bilderberg is a building btw) was mythology propped up by the ultra paranoid *john birch society* in the late 50s. The interwebz spreads it & it infects new minds. When you are identifying the wrong enemy, you are neutralized in the battle for reform. The real problem is always simple greed & out of control big business.

  • The real people who need term limits are the lobbyists... PERMANENT Lobbyists... who are running the politicians by bribe but also by THREAT. Rep Kaptur here is in danger of being replaced due to the money & power of the business elites that have attached themselves to the people's houses of legislation. How do we shake off the parasites? Don't kick out the hosts, spray away the bugs!

  • Corruption occurs at every level of government.

The system supports this, when these members make the equivalent of a plumber's wage - $75 per hour.

Term limits will not improve character quality.

  • This woman is a true patriot and one of the few people in congress who is actually there to take care her constituents

  • I can only see 1 way to fix this mess.

    Term Limits.

    2 for senators

Change term length to 4 years for house members then limit them to 3 terms.

Get the money out of politics

Federal funding ONLY for elections of candidates with enough signatures.

Free prime time media time to candidates.

    Restore the Fairness Doctrine.

Lobbiest loose influence, & regular people can win elections, no advantage to the rich, & ends career politicans & ends the influence of constant campaigining for money.

  • Fairness Doctrine?

we have a first amendment...not plausible and illegal; but, we have communist as our representatives now...so who knows.

  • Hopefully the Fairness Doctrine would get rid abominations like Fox news & its Liberal counterpart.

We need true reporters like Bob Scheifer, Walter Conkite, Edward R. Murrow.

Report IMPORTANT news, expalin it, but dont invent the news.

Today news stations give us the news to fit an agenda fostering divisions between us, the more we fight the better their ratings. Black vs White, Liberal vs Conservative, questioning each others patroitism.

Distracted while we are robbed blind.

  • 1st Amendment...read it.

    Cronkite was a traitor.

  • Can we just pass the amendment that audits the FED?

    Pretty PLEASE.

  • oh...they will, but the only problem...

they attached it to ANOTHER bill which grants the government MORE unconstitutional powers...

this is a way to make Ron Paul look bad, because now...he will have to vote against auditing the FED as it will be a vote for more government control and infrengement upon private organizations...

    lovely government we have eh?

  • SHE GETS IT!

  • Hear hear, Marcy Kaptur! Sadly, your words fall on deaf ears.

  • tax the rich, end the FED, restore regulation, can't have a game with no rules, call me the socialist all money is our money. and we are the boss of government so represent us. and thank you Marcy Kaptur. progressive democrats are the minority so we have to fight the system

  • @sx200ser What do you mean "end the Fed?"

We need the Fed to control monetary policy.

  • I would say to get our house in order so the printing of money is no longer needed, nor the federal reserves role in printing said money, everyone else has to have a budget, I'm even harsh on certain businesses if you need to pay your workers using credit you run a failed business, why is loan and credit the standard model, I understand sometimes but all the time. I once was in debt alot and i won't go back, save up 2 grand and buy a cheap car in cash, fuck banks they sell us debt

  • Kakistocracy

  • Too late assclowns your all fired and you'll be lucky if we don't lock all your lying, cheating, thieving bastards up, We don't need government reform we need to reform the government!

  • I like her, she's got balls.

  • she's a fighter. go marcy

  • Real reform would mean they can't charge me interest on money they create out of thin air. A small fee I would pay but the banks have been bending us over for way to long.

I think it would be better to let the treasury act as our bank for all our loans and savings. I think it would save us tons of money.

We couldn't do this 10 years ago, now we can with electronic banking and purchasing.

  • "Big banks", it's obvious this dipshit doesn't have a clue. AUDIT THE FED, MAKE AN OWNERS LIST, P-ACT THE FUCKERS, and GET OUR FUCKING MONEY BACK.

The same assholes behind the hijacked environmentalism using "carbon credits", are behind the PRIVATE Federal Reserve, IMF, and U.N.

The "Fed" slid in in 1913, and we have been in Bankruptcy since the "Great depression". The IMF has had all our asses since then. All our payroll taxes go for that first scam on America. Ask an IRS agent.
