Best album they've made so far. There are many thrash bands out there, and many of them are great, but they are The Haunted, and they are a band that can be compared to no one.
I like everything the band has done up to Dead Eye. It's cool the band is experimenting and evolving, but it would be great if they would rediscover its death/thrash metal roots from Made Me Do It and One Kill Wonder.
I'm a fan of their older stuff too, but seriously, they're experimenting with their sound and trying something a little different, and I dont see the problem with that. Bands that evolve and change their sound, yet still keeping some style from their older shit are the best kind. If all bands never changed and all their songs sounded the same, what would be the point? I'm sick of the whole "Herp derp, must be heavier" mentality that metal fans have. Broaden your horizons.
@Smartuur Well no shit, but if they don't like this song or album, why are they here on this video, listening to it and commenting about it? I'm actually here because I fucking love this song so there you go.
@InnocentFilth I actually like this song, but I hate this album :P And I guess other people are like me, they heard this album for the first time on youtube. And I'm not really bitching about the album, I only think that for being a The Haunted album, this is a piece of crap. Because their older stuff, the first album and Revolver, those are fucking insanely good. I am just dissapointed, I was expecting something else.
@Smartuur Yeah, different tastes I guess. I like all their stuff and I find this to be a nice change. I love it when bands try something a little out of their comfort zone :)
You're a haunted fan? Do your homework. Be open minded. Enjoy music for what it is. (Vocalist Peter Dolving has described the album as "Epic. Danceable. Groovy. And very very arty farty metal. With this next record we are going to be taking a piss in the general direction of all the crappy 99.9 percent of generic contemporary Mr. Goatse jerks out there".) Are some of you the ones they decided to piss on? By some of the reactions, I think so.
Only good song on this crappy shit album. Too bad they had to go down the fuck-road, they were the only good active swedish band until this shit came out.
@beegbroda Both of them sucks ass. Soilwork was awesome, but now they sound like shit, same with In Flames, They're not hard enough for me, think it sounds too much like pop.
@Smartuur Another closed minded sheep of a metalhead with the same old ignorance "If it ain't heavy, its shit" mentality. Grow up please? The newest Soilwork album was very good, and the newest In Flames album was much better then the last
@GutsandGlory45 The fuck is your problem? Some people like it heavy, some people like it melodic. You're the closed minded person. Just because I just don't like this album, i'm ignorant? Read what you just wrote to me, and then say wich one of us who is ignorant... Jesus christ, fucking idiot.
@Smartuur Wait I'm closed minded because I like all kinds of metal? How does that make sense? I am just tired of elitists like you going everywhere and bitching about how bands aren't "heavy" anymore or that the "sold-out". And at what you wrote yourself...."They were the last good active band before this shit" "They aren't hard enough for me" what are you a hipster?
@GutsandGlory45 You said I was closed minded because I don't like this album? How the hell does that make sense? I like HEAVY and ANGRY music, this doesn't float my boat? What the fuck is your problem? Do I have to like it, just because you do? And yes, they were the last good active band in Sweden. You need to chill the fuck down, because now you're just being an asshole. I liked their old stuff because it was hard an thrashy, am I a hipster because of that? Fucking music-nazi. gtfo.
I have to admit that I haven't kept up with The Haunted since The Dead Eye album. I was just about to order Versus and Unseen on CD (yes, I do have iTunes and two iPods, but still prefer to buy whole albums on disc and then rip from them), but after reading a few reviews and listening to some tracks on YouTube, I think I'll give these latest two albums a miss and just go back and listen to their first four albums again ( and At The Gates' totally awesome Slaughter of the Soul).

@InnocentFilth If all bands never changed and all their songs sounded the same we would probably have more bands like U2 and a lot to be sorry for.

Yeah but at 2:35 it changes back. The mid section of the song reminds me of their older songs like All Against All but I like the whole thing :P
