  • R u folks kidding moi?perhaps the best endind ever!

  • wonderful ending, wonderful movie, shitty quality.

  • Is there no woman more beautiful than Maggie Gyllenhaal?

  • @pizzacrime Should I compile the list for you?

  • What a great movie.....Had to come here to watch everything after the news of the piece of watch saving him from bleeding to death, because Crackle left out the last 4 minutes or so. How aggravating. But glad I found it here.

  • I hated the ending. He should have died.

  • @catscatscatz DIdnt they address the ending of the movie with the ending of the "book"? They pretty much explain that the happy ending isn't as good as an ending where he died would be, but they wanted a happy ending.

  • does anyone know the name of the music piece playing in the end??

  • He is a major cash cow for the Hollywood Studios in his comedy, but the movie not only moved me, but proved that Ferrel is quite versatile .

  • Honestly, Ferrel should try serious roles more often. hes good at it.

  • @FlameG102 He did. It's called "Everything Must Go". It's still in theater at the time I write this.

  • great movie...........i beleive there are alot of different ways this movie couldve end

  • Ultimate!!!!!

  • That would be one hell of a good novel

  • I loved the movie.........

  • That is the greatest watch in the world. Kept him on time for work, got him hooked up with a pretty chick, and saved his ass twice. To the death. My watch needs to be wound. Lazy ass!!!

  • the book should have been entitled " death and the watch " not death and taxes.... :) i loved hearing her voice...

  • this movie is great! ...to those of you who like this movie, please watch the film "PAY IT FORWARD". I'm sure you're gonna like it too. ^_^

  • I like how the movie is self-conscious of the fact that it's an "okay" ending. It would've been more dramatic if Harold died, but in the moral dilemma between a shocking and entertaining ending it opted for the happier, more lackluster one.

  • This is by far my most favorite movie. I love how Harold's character evolves throughout the movie. When Kay says;

"...But if the man does know he's going to die, and dies anyway, dies willingly knowing he could stop it then....isn't that the type of man you want to keep alive?"

That line gets me every time.

  • "Like anything worth writing, it came inexplicably and without method" haha so so so true. There were so many great moments in this film

  • I love that line haha. Writers unite!

  • this movie is brilliant,... how else do you show how important the small and meek things of life are, ,,,, there is no doubt this movie is a masterpiece

  • I love this movie. I could watch it over and over ...and it's finally here that Will Ferrell really shows that he's really got acting chops. This movie gets me ... every single time.

  • Usually I don't really like Will Farrell movies, but this one was brilliant. I loved it. :)

  • Great movie with a great ending!

  • A wonderful film for book lovers....if that makes sense.

  • Just Love Emmas voice and her movies are Awesome love every one of them

  • :)

    love it

me and my fiancee watch it while tidy up my room before i moved to his apartment

  • whats teh song that playing while harodl is being ran over???

  • @blackstones280487 le petite fille de la mer

  • hey thnx buddy u r great for answering too bad it took u so long but its ok it ok thnx anyway

  • I used this ending speech in an English assignment just this morning

  • one of the best endings ever.

  • Best film ending ever, seriously, haven't seen another like it in AGES!

Bravo to the creator of this awesome film!!

  • wonderful ending!!

i also like the guitar part!, although i don't like advertising in movies... it's pathetic!

  • There is a difference between mentioning products in movies and mentioning them for profit. Fender Strats are beyond just things you buy, they are an insanely important part of pop culture and just culture in general. It is like getting mad at them for mentioning NASA, they didn't do it so you would give NASA money or anything. They did it because it is apart of our culture.

  • I love the bit when the guy gets the program for the adult space camp thingy.

  • hospital what?

  • I love the end narrative speech!!! ^_^

  • does anybody knows what are the acoustic song that starts at 4 : 18??? pleaseeeeee!!

  • vittorio e by spoon

  • OMG LOVE THIS MOVIE and im a writer also lol

  • ok.. that song at the end during the credits is actually maximo park - Going missing. BUT... the original has lyrics where as in the movie, they edited the lyrics out.

  • Wonderful ending of a wonderful movie.

  • If that doctor would say that to me , he would scare the shit out of me.

  • I watched this movie on my ipod today, and it was one of the greatest movies I had ever seen!!!!!!!

  • absolutely beautiful

  • i love the hospital part hahah

"..a shard of metal from your watch struck to the artery keeping blood loss long enough to keep you alive..which is pretty cool."

  • I liked the quote at very end.

  • does anyone know the name of the song played the night before harlod dies?

it dosent have lyrics its just a instramental piece

  • Vittorio E by Spoon (I LOVE THAT BAND)

  • no, im talking about the song they play before he is told he has to die, its just a guitar piece

  • ohhh sorry okay yeah I for some reason thought he like died after the hospital scene or something.. anyway yeah when he gets hit by a bus it's "La Petite Fille do la Mer" by Vangelis..Harld never dies in the movie

  • harold is told he has to die in order for the story to be good. either way great movie definitly something i will buy its a great movie must see specialy for couples

  • the song that plays in Stranger Than Fiction the night before he dies is called

    La petite fille

    by Vangelis

  • this movie's soundtrack was great! MY GOD I have to buy this film!

  • this is movie is so beautiul and moving and definately one of my favourites.

i really like will ferrel in this movie. His other roles are hilalrious as well tho but he did a gud job with this one as well.

  • does any 1 whos seen the movie kno wat song is after it says the end

  • It's "The Book I Write" by Spoon.

  • hahaha i was wondering the same thing =)

  • Since he's got now a piece of his watch in his body... Mr. Crick is going to have some serious troubles whenever trying to take a plane from now on.. maybe that could be stranger than fiction 2: troubles in the airport.. or something like that

  • i dont think this is the kinda movie that would have a sequel, it should be left as it is

  • i'm pretty sure they were kidding

  • I wouled have loved to read the book on this movie if there was one even thoe I dont like reading

  • god thanks for this, was watching the film on the internet when it suddenely stopped and wouldn't play -wierdly enough your video picks up right wher it left off.

And who would have thought it? Will Ferrell can act in a role that i don't find incredibly annoying

  • I remember a quote from the movie "George of the jungle (one wih brendan frasier) "Do't worry, no one gets killed in this movie, just really big boo boo"

  • does anyone know the song playing BEFORE this scene when Will Ferell's character got hit by the bus??? pleeeeease tell me. please please pleaseeeeee. I've been looking for that song.

  • Le Petite Filles de la Mer

  • thank you! who composed it? cause i'm looking for the piano sheet, and the history behind the song.

  • Vangelis.

  • Vangelis' "Le Petite Filles De La Mer" - he's most famous for his Blade Runner soundtrack, so check that out!

  • when I saw the trailer for this or a scene where Will Ferrell says "I'm in her book, you see she's going to kill me." I thought it was going to be a comedy. I was waYYYYYYYY off.

  • yeah, this movie completely changed my perspective on Will Ferrell's capabilities as an actor. Only one 'freakout' in the movie..

  • cracked head, suffered 4 broken ribs, broke 3 bones in your foot, and a partridge in a pear treeeeee =)

"piece of watch embedded in your arm for the rest of your life." ........might not want to go through any airline terminals...=)

  • was this video recorded off a movie screen?

  • yes

  • wow and you actually admit to that crime...Hmmmm?

  • "It's a book about a man who doesn't know he's about to die and then dies. But if the man does know he's going to die and dies anyway, dies willingly, knowing he could stop it then..isn't that the kind of man you want to keep alive?"

That's my favorie quote from the movie.

  • I do love that one, but I think one of the best quotes was, "Well, Penny, like anything worth writing, it came inexplicably and without method."

  • That is ost definitely my favorite quote as well... It gives me chills thinking about the power of it.

  • Holy crap! You filmed this in a theater!?

Love the ending, always makes me cry though.

  • That very last quote was memorable for me

  • on the dvd, there is a cutted scene when she invents him for a tea

    8lXD

because she stopped smoking and he stopped drinking coffee

  • I always wanted the professor and the author to end up together : )

  • i thought of that, but somethign w/them just doesnt click

  • this is my favorite movie!

  • actually no its not, its vittorio e by spoon

  • the song is called "love you" by free design

  • i have to confess, this makes me cry almost everytime i see it. not cuz its sad but because i'm touched by it.

  • yeah.

    me too.

  • same.

  • wat is the name of the song please

  • the first song is by spoon, called "the book i write" and the second one is "love you" by free design. :]

  • Underrated heroes. Or perhaps a playing down of something heroic. The doctor called Harold stupid for doing what he had to do. I don't know, but I certainly hope heroes still have a place among our society.

  • I agree this is the best mvie ever.. it's so.. deep .

  • This is the best most underappreciated movie ever!!!

  • I was just watching the DVD when it froze in the last ten minutes and wouldn't work- thanks so much for posting this or I'd have been wondering what happened to him for ages lol

  • placing the cookie on his heart really gets to me <3 <3 <3

  • thanks sooo much, we rented the dvd and it froze at the moment this starts! this will make my husband's morning.

  • wats the name of the song ?

  • I just LOVE the last line of the whole movie. It melts my heart......

  • what a lovely ending to offen these days there is kill and death or my be i`m getting too old and would like the love he got who would not want some one to hold them . . .

  • I'm gonna have to agree with Dustin Hoffman's character...the ending was OK. I personally think it would have been a lot better if Harold did die...

  • wow.i can still hear you sipping your way through whatever you're sipping there..lmfao.

  • the name of the song in the ending credits is: the book I write from Spoon

  • I believe the movie was based off of a book. In the book though, I think the main character commits suicide.

  • he does? :/ -cries- :)

  • is this a book?

  • yea, the film is of a writer who is writing a novel and as she is writing it a man is the main character living the story as she writes it

  • oh thank you for posting this. My mom rented this movie and I got like half way through the movie and then my brother was all like, We have to take the movies back!! It made me very mad that I didn't get to see how it ended. But you fixed all that, so YAY for you!

  • Thank you for posting this. I watched a found copy and from this exact spot on out, it was totally fucked up and there was no ending. YOU saved Harold Crick.

  • The same just happened to me!!! I guess I've learnt a good lesson about piratery tonight... Thanks for saving Harold... and me! ;)

  • Same here. Thank you for completing the movie for the rest of us

  • I LOVE this movie. I have never seen a Will Ferell movie before - they're not really my type - but this was intelligent, moving, and inspiring. I found that Ferell has a kind of Jimmy Stewart quality in this - a pure honesty that makes him wonderfully likeable. The rest of the characters were impeccably cast as well. Pure magic, just like in the golden days of Hollywood.

  • I am totally agree with you

  • thank you i was waiting for this.

    5/5

  • Though I did really like Harold and didn't want to see him die, I do in fact feel if he did die it would be a better ending, like the professor said, the story doesn't really make sense with that ending. However I will say that the writer gave the best defense for keeping him alive (and did a pretty good ironic thing to keep him alive).

  • I liked the ending very much.

  • hay does any body know the name of the last song in the ending credits all i know is that it said "give a little time to the child hood in you"

  • just watched this movie yesterday on my psp it's the best funny drama movie i've ever seen

  • You video taped this!

  • this had such a great ending! I was going to be sooo hurt if harold died!

  • I'm just glad it doesn't show im getting hit by the bus, that actually broke several people in the cinema when it happened. Some were still sniffing and sobbing when the credits started to roll.

  • I love this movie so much, every since i rented it a while ago ive been craving it ever since. This helped the craving a little, thanks. But i must go buy it.

  • Thank you SOOO much for posting this!!! The ending was cut off while I was watching it and I was going MAD! The freaky part is that it cut off exactly where you picked it up. Amazing. Thanks again!

  • this is one of the best endings to a movie i have ever seen. I felt as if the meaning of life was explained to me in just a matter of 3 mins.

  • I agree with you. It's pretty inspring and it finishes the movie perfectly.
