Most people have this romanticized vision of animals because the only real animals they know are cats and dogs.

Addressing the video, things are not so inhumane as they like to depict. Primates are regularly very well treated in research labs. Bad conditions are the exception, not the rule.

They used to train the monkeys to get into the chair, or even take a shot from the cage. They would come over, put their butt against the cage and after the quick shot, they'd get a grape. The peta drones said this was abuse and they came up with the collar they wear all the time. This is what people who never worked with monkeys said was much more humane.

I still take the time and train my monkeys to do what i need them to. If they don't feel like doing anything, I let them go do waht they want to. It takes a lot of time to train them, but it is worth it. No monkeys jacked up and heart pounding. I'd rather take more time and have healthier monkeys and firm test. You would be surprised how far a grape will get you with a monkey.

But here it is not why it's being done, but the MANNER in which it's being done, which is the problem many of us have. Look up "humane" in the dictionary. It is possible to make practices far more humane and still get the job done.

Thanks for saying that you don't like cruelty that goes on, but animal testing should not happen regardless of what animal they use and I don't care at all if it saves you or me, I am prepared to die of cancer or something else like that, as I don't want any help from drugs or operations that have been tested and discovered on animals.

This has to be stopped NOW! I feel the same way about using criminals though, and not just people on death row, all criminals in jail..they have had there chance.
