this is more stylized than nintendogs. I like it better. especially the movement; nintendogs was never believable in that department. this, however... very fluid! can't wait. ;)

Yeah, it's all about style - with no substance at all and based on a rip-off idea. Moreover, this style is ugly.

I bet you this game will be nowhere as successful as Nintendogs' legacy. Rip-off will always be rip-off.

As iPhone user and game addict, I'm ashamed that ngmoco can only make rip-off games: Rolando, LiveFire (now KillTest) and this Touch-Pet-Dogs. Can't they be a bit more creative??

Yes there are a few bad comments about star defence,but the good ones are more!And if we start talk about a rip-of,nintendogs is a rip-of of petz dogz!And this is diferent,it's not your typical pet simulator.And do you really have iphone?Or you have a ds,and you want to say that it'sbetter?

I have both. No, I'm not saying DS is better. I'm saying Nintendogs is better than TPdogs.

I love my iPhone btw, it has some great games. I've rarely touched my DS now, but sometimes missed some 'real' games like Final Fantasy, Zelda, Sonic (Rush, not the classic one), Dragon Quest, Animals Crossing, etc.

Actually, Its not really a rip-off considering that Andrew Stern who is working on this, worked on the virtual petz series catz and dogz, which were the first virtual pet games. Technically, Nintendogs, is a rip off of Petz.

If you're taking it that far, then Petz is a rip off of Tamagotchi.

I mean, c'mon, Nintendogs was inspired by Petz but it adds so much to the game, where this one is just like Nintendogs with different visual style.

Petz were the world's first virtual pets, coming out in 1995, Tamagotchi was created in 1996.The style of this game is also very similar to Petz.

It seems to me like this is an expansion of the original virtual pets games, rather then a rip off of nintendo.

Nintendogs just came to a touch screen device first, and thats what makes this seem like a rip-off.

That said, of course review websites like Touch Arcade will give it a superb review since ngmoco pays them shitload of money.

For example, if you read real user reviews about Star Defense, they're generally indifferent and disappointed with the gimmicky game, yet Touch Arcade made it sound as if it's the best tower defense game.

Though, the game does have great 3d graphics. Ngmoco:) has a lot of cash, but they are a "someone" a good developer.
