I do not think so. Gnosticism seems to be more of a philosophy that existed before Christ which attempted to find a sense of unity between the religions of their area. When I read about it, the belief seemed to centre on an imperfect god that created the world. It also said that humans are souls trapped in our body that desire to be free.

This does not seem to relate to the Christain faith at all seeing as God is perfect and we were placed on this world, not trapped here.

I must disagree. For me, some metal is awesome, like Eluveitie, but once I listen to Death Metal, I just have to turn my media player off. There is a lot of metal I love, but truly there is a reason for the classification. Basically, metal can be hardcore or softcore (lol almost like sex), and I personally hate the most hardcore though I listen to almost everything. Others, conversely, prefer the hardcore over the softer metal.
