You know, they can a bridge like that but the state of kentucky can't get a simple bridge built over the ohio river....we'll never see those bridges built because of a worthless governor and legislature...
I have not been over this bridge since maybe 2004 when I used to live in Maryland. You have done a really good shoot of the drive and I must compliment you.
I grew up in Baltimore in the 60's and 70's and left for good in 82, and I can see that drivers in Baltimore are still as crazy as ever when they drive, lol.
i think they use yellow marks because they sometimes switch to two way traffic if there is a problem or maintenance on the other bridge.usually the traffic only flows one way on each bridge.
If I remember, this is the original span...Westbound was built later...

When they opened up the 2nd span across the bay, they allowed people to walk across (just for one day). I was one of them.

on a real windy day they will actually shut the bridge down cuz it sways from side to side
