I just made something similar to this in the crockpot (even though I am not a big fan of crockpots). My recipe also calls for French dressing mix. Next time I make it, I'm using the Dutch oven.

@MrJingjong Yes the cleaver is a bit of a family heirloom , a Foster bros vintage early 1900s pushing 90-100 years old and still does the magic .... im with you on the summer comfort food , I like it year round ...lol...!!!
