Holy Crap! I made such a statement? I guess pointing out the obvious was kind of stupid.
@N00bcrunch3r That's because it's animation. They did not film living mammoths
@Trund27
It's not even animation. It's clay models. It's not just that it looks fake, it's also very choppy and has very unnaturally stiff movements.

@N00bcrunch3r It is animation. they are animating clay. Making them move!
I guess we can disagree on quality of movement. I find it charming (considering it's a skill I don't possess)
Cheers
Perhaps I should be more specific--MODERN animation! I do not possess the skills to make clay animation, but I possess even less skills to make CGI animation.
Oh, my. THIS is where my enduring love of Woolly Mammaths comes from!!!!!!

@ShallowThoughts Funny you should mention that, because the Vignettes date back to around 1978.

A baby Wolly Mammoth a lot like this one was found incredibly preserved in Northern Russia in 2007. She was named Lyuba. (Look it up)

They're so cute--where can I get one? Best wishes from northwest Pennsylvania (their bones have been found in a local lake).
