The BlueWhale-Zoomed.avi video response is the same video, but zoomed in on the hale using video editing software.

After further review and conversations with others, I now agree that we were likely with blues. Amazing. I am trying to attach a video I took of humpbacks in 2007 as a video response - that should help show the size difference.

that's a blue whale, not a humpback. You can tell by the blow and shape of the tail....great catch.
