  • du hattest kenie angst mehr would translate to you had no more fear, but thats not the lyrics. The lyrics are du hättest keine angst mehr which translates to you would have no more fear. The umlauts change hattest from past tense to future tense.

other than that it's a very nice translation and i apprecitae all the work that you must have put into it.

  • Well, I think it's acceptable just to use the past tense, when referring to imagined events (subjunctive mood) in English. But no doubt the translation is a bit messy. "Imagine yourself having no more fear", might make it sound a little less like something I put into google translate. Anyway, thanks for the advice :)

  • I would suggest to translate "Du hättest keine Angst mehr as " You would not be afraid anymore" or "You wouldn't have fear nomore"

  • hey it´s surprising to read that somebody loves our language. but wir sind helden songs are nearly the best one can do with this language. btw this song is an absolutely rare piece of music: it´s on no disc at all.

  • Wonderful. I'm also a novice Deustch speaker, but I might translate nie wieder as Never Again, rather than Never Ever. All in all, wonderful, and despite your doubts, I thought the images were very nice!

  • i love this song

    i love this band

    i love german language,which i dont speak..
