Damn good interview. I liked how it was outside and not cooped the fuck up in some cramped studio. Neil always has something worth hearing, whether it be in an interview or on a stage. CLUTCH=Baddest Band in the Land......
@wretchedSTONER Nice guy, and one of the few who doesn't have his head up his arse. Can't tell you how refreshing it was to talk to someone who didn't feel the need to remind you every five secs of who they were and why they were famous. Honestly, I look back and wish I'd known more about him first, but he never gave the impression that my ignorance pissed him off, in fact if anything, he was a total gentleman. Can't say that for everyone I met that day!!
@vlcboleman Zakk walked passed me last year at High Voltage. Unfortunately he wasn't talking to any one. Mind you, neither was Phil Anselmo till we got on to the subject of boxing and then he couldn't stop. If I ever get a chance to chat to Zakk, I will let you know. :))
what pisses me off is......clutch are playing download this year...9 albums deep, consistently putting out top stuff and they are pretty much at the bottom of the list in the its bang out of order...theyve been doin it since 91 and they get put there...with pendulum on there towards the top wtf is goin on.??.sum1 needs their head knocked on...HARD
@bakinblack Well, to be honest, I had no idea who he was when someone said, hey talk to this guy and so I had to wing it. Since chatting to Neil though, I have started to listen to them and you know what, they are pretty damn good. See I'm more a blues man, actually. Love Neil's beard though. Never been able to grow one myself quite like that one.
@planetbrowny fair play man fair play...just it came acorss thats all....which i guess is the why..im clutch daft....bit of a late bloomer really....I just missed them at download 09...gutted..but they r doin DL 2011 which is the only plus for the lineup this eyar. so......£100 and 8 hours driving just to see them for 35 mins...hmm...?...tough one....
@bakinblack also didn't help that my producer told me 2 secs from the start that he'd told Neil I hated blokes in beards.... should tell you, my producer looks like Lemmy from Motorhead.
This guy is one of the best vocalists / lyricists to ever draw breath...
