But I've been around plenty of other dogs that scare me even more- I used to be harrassed and nipped and chased down by a neighbors dogs- one was a black, huskiyish looking dog, and the other was a Golden Lab.
Labradors, by the way, are one of the top biters of people in the US- Dalmations as well.

I'm on my sister's account. She has 3 pits and we rescue them. They are an amazing dogs ever. I think it's sad that they pin point at the pits rather then the German Sheperds, or Chauaua's. Any kind of dog can be a bad dog, but it takes an ignorant society to take it out on the pits. If they are raised in a good home they will be good dogs. Punish the deed not the breed.

Pitbulls are like any breed of dog they are the product of what mankind has made them. They can be sweet as can be if the owner loves them enough and trains them well, but if the person beats them and throws them in a pit to fight for their life of course they'll be aggressive. One thing a Pitbull does better then other dogs is they can be beat within inches of their life and still bounce back. I cried during this and in 47 it hard to make me cry. It's not their fault it's ours for turning them into killing machines. I have 3 pits and they have never showed any sings to want to hurt someone. It's just sad.

My pit bull who myself and my boyfriend rescued was an abused dog and wants NOTHING but love and kisses. She LOVES other dogs and LOVES cats and will give little kids millions and millions of kisses...she's never once bitten or harmed myself or anyone else. So grow up and get your facts right.

Here is something that I saw in my family, a black lab, one of the most respected dogs, bit a child in the face because it was raised to be mean. Pitbull, has never once hurt anyone and my friends own her, they have a four year old and twins that are two months old. She is the sweetest dog. Dogs are like people, it's how your raise them. Like your mother never taught you "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." :)

i respect pitbulls and i had a total of 23 all at one time my name is ciara im really only 11 and i find that if i were to get another dog it would be a pit and i have smaller dogs and butch gets along with them.( my butch is my fav pitbull)

I'm on my sister's account. She has 3 pits and we rescue them. They are an amazing dogs ever. I think it's sad that they pin point at the pits rather then the German Sheperds, or Chauaua's. Any kind of dog can be a bad dog, but it takes an ignorant society to take it out on the pits. If they are raised in a good home they will be good dogs. Punish the deed not the breed.

Pitbulls are like any breed of dog they are the product of what mankind has made them. They can be sweet as can be if the owner loves them enough and trains them well, but if the person beats them and throws them in a pit to fight for their life of course they'll be aggressive. One thing a Pitbull does better then other dogs is they can be beat within inches of their life and still bounce back. Sometimes if a pit bull was there, even if it wasn't the one that attacked, it is blamed.

@YoutoobWatcher3 All I have to say is that i have just recently became a pit bull owner and never once in my life before becoming an owner of one did i ever think that any should be put down or killed. My pit bull who myself and my boyfriend rescued was an abused dog and wants NOTHING but love and kisses. She LOVES other dogs and LOVES cats and will give little kids millions and millions of kisses...she's never once bitten or harmed myself or anyone else. So grow up and get your facts right.

Here is something that I saw in my family, a black lab, one of the most respected dogs, bit a child in the face because it was raised to be mean. Pitbull, has never once hurt anyone and my friends own her, they have a four year old and twins that are two months old. She is the sweetest dog. Dogs are like people, it's how your raise them. Like your mother never taught you "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." :)

owned a pitbull a few years ago. lovely dog, and protected me on quite a few occasions.
my mate has a pit thats 3 years old. really nice dog.
if i ever get the chance to buy one (pure bred) i will definatley buy one.

It makes me sick I feel like I'm going to puke my guts out. I can't believe extreme violence of blood and gore amuses people. Are they serious??? im going to catch hell for this but here we go. i own a pit myself. but to day that all pits are sweet and innocent is crazy just like any other breed they all have bad dogs in them. yes there are bad pits. but once again it all comesback to us. the reason we have unstable pits is over breeding which causes their instability. so to all the loving pit owners out there. recognize that we do have a problem. but its with the backyard breeders. we need to be very careful who we get our dogs from.

So it's ok to have the streets overrun with animals as long as their not pit bulls? Pit bulls will never re-gain respect as long as there are people out there who are shallow, closed minded and don't do their research and as long as people choose to mis-treat them and fight them.

@themalina92 Pit bulls do not be trained to act right-they are some of the best mannered, and tempered dogs in the world(see my post below from a week ago)it's the ones that are trained, and trained wrong to be mean and fight that have caused the problem-the owners need to be trained not the dogs and if the legislators would do their research and think for themselves and maybe drop a pair of testicles-they would not be getting outlawed so much. Former law makers and presidents have owned pits.

I am the proud owner of a red nosed pit that I got when he was 8 weeks old he is now 9 months and he is the best breed of dog that i have ever owned..He is great with my kids and he loves to be loved...he is so smart and loyal...
