Why I Could Never Align Myself with the Republican Party: Gay Rights

This issue is always used to gain votes from republicans. Karl rove used this issue during Bush's reelection campaign in '04. They placed this issue in many key states to not only constitutionally ban marriage, but civil unions--knowing that many of the religious people will come out and vote.... It's quite upsetting even thinking about it.

ya i agree... i am assuming your straight, and i am appreciative that your speaking out for another group even if your not part of that group.. such as being LGBTQ....

Okay, I want to say how appreciative I am that you did not put the disclaimer "First of all, I'm not gay...but". in the beginning of the video. I'm not assuming your sexuality one way or the other but if you are straight...thank you for not having to preface the video by declaring it...it makes what you had to say much more meaningful!! As a young gay man, it makes me happy to see someone so thoughfully tackling this issue...it's nice to have others defend me once in a while...virtual hug :)
