sweet blade! I like that shape my dad has the m16 13kz oor some thing like that same blade shape just 1 size bigger and a combo edge! and its desert tan! That auto lawk is sorta weird in my opinion though
I really like my M16s from CRKT. They make great work knives, and I love all the handle choices. I got rid of almost every other import knife I owned, but I kept the M16s, and will continue to do so. I bought the "ZER" models, orange handled emergency responder versions. I want the new M16-14ZER when it becomes available :)
Good review Katabunga! That LAWKS system though just barely functional though. I've ripped through 2 LAWKS systems in my experiences. It's nice to have to prevent accidents but hardly a strength builder.
I've been EDCing a CRKT M16-13SFG for about seven months now, It's similar to this one, it works pretty well, but it's got a tanto point that I don't like so much :P Can't knock the M16 series though, they're good knives. I really hate their "turns it into a fixed blade" slogan, because it really doesn't have the strength of a fixed blade.
The thumb studs are stop pins, like you see on Striders. There is a little half moon style hole in the handle where those studs meet the handle, helping to reduce blade play.
i have this in 2 tone and got it from Big5 for 15 dollars. i love it. i love the clip on it too so it goes deep in the pocket

I'd think the super thick blade-mounted stop pin CRKT uses on the M16-21 series would be stronger than any normal handle-mounted stop pin.
