  • america need to use a combination of the australian and dutch fiscal model. Simple taxeswith no loop holes. which include a land tax to fund the local govt a high income tax with 0% until 20k per year and up to 60% for every dollar over 180k(largely funds the federal govt). 15% GST flat rate(imposed by the federal govt and given to the states on conditions eg. public healthcare) ,[ recource taxes, pigovian taxes, fines , mining taxes , import taxeswhich go to all levels of government].

  • @mmann66666 Or we could just have everyone pay for what they want and not pay for what they don't want.

  • @Ishpeck This would only work in a world where everyone has perfect information and does the right thing. Which we don't. That's why we have governments in the first place, so they can make sure people pay what they owe and that we are not abused due to our own ignorance.

Except of course, that they are abusing us due to our own ignorance.

  • I give Franklins to a man who is not like Washington or Lincoln :-(

  • according to you likes and dislikes you could be president

  • a dislike?

    hi mr.president!

  • fuck democrasy- we need a republic.

"money" is our property, and if 70% say we should all pay, the 30% are being robbed of their property.

Democracy goes against all of the people's rights.

  • @UrSoMeanBoss United states is a republic, not a true democracy

  • @TheGreyMushu yes- but everyone always says its a democracy x.x

  • @TheGreyMushu America is a Liberal Democracy, while places like Sweden is a Social Democracy. If we we a true democracy the minority would have no rights what so ever. Luckily they have bill of rights. All current democracy are also republics by our current standards ( the def of it has change since ancient times) but basically we all like John Locke and have representation. So if you want to say America is a republic, that is cool but it is also a democracy, a Liberal democracy.

  • @HydeDaFreak actually we are a constitutional republic just saying,no democracy in the term...we elect representatives (republic)

  • @UrSoMeanBoss but democracy is "fair"

  • @julianbell90 lol thats a laugh.

  • @julianbell90 it should be and people often says it is, but even direct democracies could have uneven votes

    dude 1: 1 vote

    dude 2: 50 votes

were as a representative democracy there is alot more room for unfairness

  • like the vid but if you think you votes actually mean something you need you head examined.

  • Welcome to "democracy."

  • We're allowed to vote on these things?

  • what's that word? (as it sounds) unanomous ...

Btw, I'm not retarded, I'm just trying to raise my vocabulary since I'm not from an english-speaking country. =o

  • Unanimous means 'everybody has to agree'. So in unanimous voting one 'nay' means it doesn't happen.

  • like in the UN with the five veto votes I asume

  • @hinkpallspiano unanimous: to be in complete agreement. It means everyone must agree to it. If one person does not agree, then it is not unanimous.

  • So, we're robbing the poor to pay the rich? What would Robin Hood say? ;-)

  • Ha! we were just talking about this in my BUS 101 class...China actually has the most American bonds.
