One of the best bands of the genre, for sure. Singer's voice kind of a cross between the singer for Krokus & somebody else I can't quite pinpoint, maybe Udo from Accept? At the same time, his voice is very unique.
Love songs like this that start out soft and then all of a sudden, ROCK HARD. This band ruled back in the day. Wish they wouldn't have used humans to depict the likeness of Christ, though. This is a violation of the second commandment.
The commandment is about the likeness of G'd, as christians we worship the Trinity which has three ego's, G'd the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit. So technicaly speaking is this not a violation of the 2nd commandment.
There were seven churches in the book of Revelation that Jesus gave John a word for. And when John was given this revelation by Jesus, he saw Jesus standing among seven golden lampstands...I think the symbology of the seven candles burning here. This song is about the Revelation given to John.
GREAT version of this song, by the way. I was listening to one of the teeny bopper guys on here...and I needed a dose of some ROCK!!!
The number 7 appears in many, many places thoughout the Judeo-Christian scriptures, especially so in the book called "Revelation" at the end of the New Testament, where Bloodgood drew the lyrics for this song. Why that is so has always been debated, but most ideas center on 7 being some sort of sign of completion or perfection. In the end, it's a mystery.
classic, awesome....most favorites.

@eentje Your explanation doesn't change anything. And it's three actual Persons, not egos.
