  • Maravillosa canción y Frida la cantas de delicia. Una gran canción y una gran intérprete.

  • what a lady, what a voice, perfect version , I can hear it every day and every time I feel like is the first time.. hard these days to hear this kind of music lyircs and of course these artists like Frida. God bless you Frida

  • oh my god. just rediscoverd this song wow

  • Ehh....disappointment...Phil's was ten times better...I had high hopes for this version hearing it for the first time...actually....it's AWFUL.

  • compared to this Phil's version is so one dimensional. Frida's voice makes it otherwordly

  • @sondano

Eh, I like Phil's take. It's more stark, less polished. This is pretty glossy for what's supposed to be a harrowing experience.

  • Oh très émouvant , Frida nous apparait comme un ange, comme un remerciement à son ex compagnon de lui avoir offert ce bijou, cette version est aussi belle que celle de Phil Collins, ce morceau et surtout cette musique nous font vite monter les larmes....

  • But Frida is a total goddess!

  • every thing is perfect here. voice, beauty.... love it.

  • Oh Frida, you divine, talented and out of reach.

  • Phil Collins said he liked Frida's version better than his. :))

  • Such a beautiful song!!! One of my favorite all time vocalists

  • She does a good job of this.

  • I trust that they who come here - listen to the words of this wonderful song. Nice one Phil Collins. Latecomers to grief and they complain? Allegedly. Just got a Freedom Pass people. That makes my age....hmm! And now you frown? lol

  • Frida looks and sounds beautiful. :))

  • i love benny, but, it makes me angry to think of what he did to frida. how, HOW, could you possibly cheat on her. she's gorgeous. i heard that she was a little clingy. could this be why? thoughts??

  • @mattsasurfer - actually it was Benny who asked Frida to move in with him and i heard it from their own lips. and if you look at the videos of early interviews clearly the clingy one was Benny. dont believe everything you hear.

  • @mattsasurfer- it makes me angry that he cheated on her too. Frida deserved better. i'm hugely dissapointed in him. i see him as a very talented man but a jerk.

  • @xXScheherazadeXx And that makes him different? You know, it seems women get by on their looks, but rarely on their talent, as men do....sad. I really love Frida (better than Agnetha, don't tell anybody) and it's sad she didn't stay with Benny. Perhaps he was undeserving.

  • @wordgrrl71 - to say that women get by on their looks and men on their talent is one of the stupidest things i've ever heard since i believe it goes both ways the same. the issue is not that they divorced but rather that he cheated and indeed it makes him a jerk.

  • Comment removed

  • @RainOrShineFun - everyone knows he cheated. and i'm sorry but is very close minded and sexist to say that men are talented and women beautiful and i will not argue.

  • this is fricken sad

  • Can anyone send this song to me like mp3 file?? pleasee

  • Stunning even today it is timeless like frida's voice !

  • This is just not as convincing as Phil's version. His is straight from the heart. Although, the "I wish I could write a love song" line is more appropriate for Frida. Hence, the use of Phil's material.

  • If her career had been managed better she would've kicked *ss. Frida. <3

  • THIS is my fave song....buetifull....

  • Great cover of a great Collins song.

  • Frida is a very beautiful lady. I wish you all the best, Anni-Frid Lyngstad. You are one of the best EVER.

  • such a perfect song for Frida... I was shocked when I heard Phil Collins' original version!

  • A lovely album produced by Phil Collins. A great post, thanks.

  • Wonderfull song :')

  • Good cover song. Though I do like Collin's version better.

  • Frida, the Empress of pop-music. You all know WHAT I mean

  • They had already taken everything else, Frida. They took my dreams too.

Everything else - wasn't enough for the a***holes

  • so eine schöne Frau und immer noch die gleiche tolle Stimme wie früher,

    (und ich bin 69-er)

  • I adore both versions, Phil's and Frida's. I always though they would be great if someone blnded them both together, kinda like how Neil Diamond and Barbra were on "you don't bring me flowers"...

  • Ice Maiden = Caine Id me

  • i love you frida. What a voice.

  • this is a beautiful song her voice is so sweet and the lyric is just WONDERFULL!!!

    bravo

  • This will always be Phil's song. Something about his voice in the particular song can't be replaced.

  • You Know what I mean? Frida does but you The Government don't. Self interest and contempt.

  • Did anyone know the song is actually a cover from the 1981 Phil Collins album Face Value? He wrote, played and sang it from behind the piano, with accompaniment of a string ensemble. I love that version, as I love the Frida one with the harp and strings. The whole 1982 album of Frida was made in a huge co-operation with Phil Collins, but I'm sure that's really old news for you dedicated Frida-fans. Anyway, great video!

  • @jobvink yes, this is a diff version but just as great. not many people know this album but its fantastic, spin it quite frequently myself.

  • @jobvink Oh, oh! I knew that! Do I get a prize?

  • Thank you Frida and Phil.

I am articulate in this area but it helps to use your music.

"They" HAVE taken everything else and don't like to listen.

    Just talk.

  • thought it might have been a cover of the gr8 Turtles song of the same name...never mind...thx anyway.

  • No offense but Frida was one of the top performers of the 70s/80s while PC was still a balding drummer in a Progrock outfit, geddit?

  • No offense, but PC is (one of) the greatest superstar(s) of the 80's untill now, who has lifted Genesis AND himself from the obscure club scene via bigger venues and theatres to the sold out stadiums. He proves that he doesn't need to have the looks of a photo model and make superficial, mainstream music to be successful. I believe PC's big influence was the main reason for the huge success of her '82 album "Something's going on". Her greatest musical success was mainly in her Abba-period.

  • This songs a cover, i think. Phil Collins's version is on his 1981 album "Face Value". This is a very good version though.

  • this sing is beautiful and Frida's performance is flawless.

  • I think Frida song was about her breakup with Benny Anderson from ABBA. Very touching tune.

  • thats very gud ..

  • Only Frida...

  • Why didn't they sing it as duet? I miss Phil Collins voice in here.

  • this song really shows what an amazing voice frida has.....knew she had a great voice but this song really showcases her stunning vocals!!!!

  • 26 years ago can't believe it.

  • This is one of my favorite Phil Collins songs. It is simple but beautiful.

  • All groups leave behind a trail of feuds among their fans (often unwanted by the groupmembers themselves)(it started way back with Lennon vs. McCartney), and fans all too eager to pursue them. IMHO both singers are good and have performed good and moving songs in their later careers, but nothing otherworldly though if you know what I mean (no talk of Janis Joplin or Barbara Streisand or Joan Sutherland here).

  • this is phil collins song

  • Lady Frida , Wonderful song!!

  • Wow, this song is so beautiful. I love the whole "Something's Going On" album. It's simply wonderful. I love Frida's voice.

  • What can you say? eh! Frida ahhhhhhhhhhh!

  • Very moving song, performed beautifully.Did Pil Collins produce this as well?

  • beautiful.. I love this song

  • Fantastic song and lyrics. Love Frida too. So sophisticated and capable.

How did you download this music file onto your IPOD I want to do the same but am struggling to do so successfully

  • Hi just back from hols hence late in answering! One of the kids downloaded it as an mp3 from a free music site then it's just a case of uploading onto ipod.I prefer the more rare Abba/Frida songs and this one and the 'swedish carol' that Frida sings are just wonderful with the headphones cranked up!

  • This song is just stunning i have it on my ipod, thank goodness Phil let Frida have it!IMHO Frida had the best natural voice but i do not want to get into a Frida/Agnetha argument cos it's just an opinion,ok!?!

  • wow, youtube has really made you defensive hasn't it Caz? :p Stunning voice and touching song!!

  • Yeah i was getting grief from the demented 'Agnetha was the real singer in Abba' brigade so had a quick rant then felt much better! What is wrong with those people??

  • yeah I know where you're coming from unfortunately. There is no point in figuring them out but to just enjoy what you enjoy listening to and watching.

  • Phil Collins song, EXCELLANT !!! !!!!

Phil produced and played drums on I know there's something going on...

  • Such a touching performance. <3 Frida

  • Yes, it's a cover of the Phil Collins song. He gave it to Frida to record when he produced hr "Something's going on" CD in 1982

  • Thanks fot the info!

  • Phil Collins has written many songs for Frida, especially on her first album... So it's no wonder you heard this song in one of his versions ;)

  • Amazing version, but I have a question. I heard this song is composed by Phil Collins, and appeared in his "Face Value" album in 1981. So I'm a bit confused. This is a cover of the Phil Collins song?

  • This is so beautiful! What a fantastic voice she has. The true voice of Abba, just listen to their live stuff, and you can very easily say who carried them through each song. This was the leading lady. I love them all.

  • Just been looking at your biog and you love Frida and Cliff like me so what a discerning lady you are!

  • i love frida... ever since i heard and saw her in the take a chance on me video, i fell in love instantly to her... nice voice with a very pretty face... this song proves her veratility...

  • i love frida... ever since i heard and saw her in the take a chance on me video, i fell in love instantly to her... nice voice with a very pretty face... this song one proves her veratility...

  • no wonder ABBA was the best - listen to this voice!!! More attention has always been given to Agnetha, but Frida was ALSO great!!

  • ayyyyyyyyyyyyyy que linda me ace llorar grandes temas de este grupo las mescle com mi pasado

  • you know what's another song sung beautifully by Frida available on youtube, "Come to Me." Check it out!

  • I love Frida, her choice of songs are spectacular. Love this song so much, reminds me of my divorce.

  • Anni-Frid's post ABBA work, while very different,is every bit as good as that she did with ABBA. In fact it is often better as she is able to showcase her voice and talents much more, even compared to the ballads where she sang solo lead. Frida has built a great legacy of song. I can barely wait for my copy of this CD to arrive. Thanks for posting this say3words.

  • I really enjoy each time i listen this song..

  • I have cried many tears while listening to this song the past 25 years. Now that I see Frida's emotional performance, let's just say I have used a few more tissues today. Thank you for posting this heart wrenching song and video. And thank you Frida for delivering a performance that far exceeds anything Abba ever released.

  • Every time I see Frida I combination of light, music and art, like river of light running through time and space. THANKS FOR THE MUSIC

  • i don't know any cover from this song, so for me this is the original and will always be regarded as such. FRIDA is just superior to anybody in her artistry.

  • open letter to Benny???

  • wetlox, Whislt Frida may well have drawn on her personal feelings of the time to bring out the most in this song she has far too much personal and professional integrity to use her music to chastise Benny in public. He also certainly felt many losses from their divorce and I don't know of him ever saying anything derogatory about Frida in public.

  • cover from phil collins first solo album

  • Sigh ... Frida. x

  • Lovely cover this is. I do prefer the original version by Phil Collins however.

  • Excellent! Thanks

  • Although I prefer Agnetha Faltskog this is a beautiful song, I must say.

  • I agree, Celina. Although I'm a Phil Collins fan too, the song benefits greatly both from Frida's beautiful voice and a much prettier arrangement, particularly the harp.

  • Though the video is basically doing the same thing I just love this song! :)

  • Great performance of this rare solo track!
