After the 2000 bubble, I knew people that took unemployment for a full year due to the 6mo extension in San Diego. Lay on a beach & earn? Why not. You don't collect that much from unemployement. I collected just 1 check and to begin with it took about a month to get it, and it was 25 percent of my regular check.

I don't know who the hell you think can live off that, but I could definitely say they aren't giving you much to live off of. That is the idea, right? You aren't suppose to be able to live off it so who would rater settle for 25 percent of your regular income is beyond me.
