  • That sounds like a pure mad egg yolk. That killed me hahahaha

  • I feel like this would be funnier if you could actually make out half the stuff he says. The only think I picked up on was "Yoker F. C.". Other than that, it just sounded like normal conversation or jibberish.

It might also help if I knew what the heck Yoker even was...

  • @LPSwimmer2011 This is Scottish (mainly) Glaswegian humour and most of it is 'slang'. Yoker is a place in Glasgow and the "brew" is a place where people claim benefits. Hope that helps :p

  • @NiceLmC Not really, but I appreciate your attemp to help me. I guess I'd just have to learn more about Scottish culture.

  • @LPSwimmer2011 Well it is a Scottish program, shown in Scotland.

  • @kylehlogan Yeah, NiceLmC told me. I figured it was somewhere in the UK, not just by the accent but also I just followed a link from one of CGPGrey's videos.

  • and a just pissed maself laughing ... haaaa

  • This is brilliant lived in Glasgow 18 years and I've never once went to Yoker, don't think I've ever met anyone from their either, must make the pilgrimage one day. Preferably stoned and listening to this song. Yoker, the promised land...

  • english subs please

  • @heyguysinternet If you need english subtitles, you wont get any of the jokes mate. Best just leave yolker to be the strange, fabled land that it is.

  • ..I can't understand a word he is saying...

  • @Ahriman567 it's his benefit payment :P a Giro cheque.

  • 13 people have never been to Yoker LOLLOLOLLL!!!! FUCK OFF

  • Ha that's ma school bus

  • fockin'

  • What does "gyro" mean? Booze?

  • @Ahriman567 Unemployment benefit.

  • One of the best things I've seen about isolation. "She doesn't know what it's like not to be from Yoker..." Brilliant, as always.

  • i feel drunk just listening to his voice.

"i thought, Dee-Dee, you're truly on the outer reaches, here."

  • @GamesViolated Its Giro, its a form of unemployment benefit or welfare, used to come in the form of a book, known as a giro cheque.

  • anyone know what hes saying?

  • He's saying "gyro," I think.

  • It sounds like a mix of Swedish and Dutch.

  • @Shamala2 Funnily enough you're not far wrong.

  • @Shamala2 UK

  • @Shamala2

I was thinking the same thing. English, Swedish and Dutch.

  • go for it." So I just went like that, fuck it, and joined the queue. Then the driver starts checking people's tickets, I was like that; "Oh, just forget it, but I'd just got pure caught up in the slipstream, belting it towards the moment of truth at a hunderd miles an hour, heart pounding, pulse racing. "What it is is..." "On you go mate." "... Cheers" I did it. So there I was, birds-eye view whizzing by the brew like that; "Ta-ta, -, maybe some other day eh? Because I'm on the bus, to Yoker!...

  • Never been there, don't know what it's like, just a mid pure fabled land that sounds like a pure mad egg yolk. So I was watching everybody getting on, trying to show their tickets to the driver, but he wasn't having it, like that; "Aye, I know where you came from, I can see the bus, what do you think I am, daft?" and a wee voice of mine's is like "Dee-dee, I know you need to get your -, but the brew's always going to be there, but this on the other hand, is a once in a life time oppurtunity, ...

  • Fucking heading to the brew, heading to get my -, and I pass these couple of buses at the side of the road. Everybody's piling off the front one into the one behind, old folk like that; "This is ridiculous, I'm not used to being like this with the co-operation buses." I was like that; "I see, we've got ourselves a breakdown." I check to see where they're all heading.. Yoker. And I just pissed myself laughing. "Haaaa", cause Yoker's one of these places that I only know from the front of a bus...

  • Y'know my mind was begging the question: was your name Smith or something and you changed it?

  • Girl-Aye it's a lovely place. I've lived there all my life. Yorker born and bread.

Dee Dee-So you never once wondered what Yorker's like.

    That was deep.

  • @nightfly10 ha..theres so much wrong with that statement, considering much of the 'english' comedy is written by scots. this has nothing to do with nationality...he just happens to be from scotland and only scots get it..too intelligent for us english

  • @gspotkentzoom :) my parents are scottish, most of my relatives are in scotland, i get this Yoker thing, i guess ive become a bit snobby over the comedy i watch as i get older, i tend to dislike a lot of american comedy too, for the last few years and currently i seem more drawn to british tv and specifically english peformed comedy, some sketches that ive watched by Limmy though give me that huh? sort of feeling though.

  • @nightfly10 thats fair enough but nationality shouldnt matter atol..if u find it funny you find it funny, if not then you dont. Just happens its more appealing to more and then again alot of scots dislike it and dont get it,ha

  • A great example of the habitual stoner.everything is slowed down and over analysed .Hilarious. Im not scottish but its not hard to follow .

  • CANY STOP LAUGHING AT LIMMY MAN!! HAHAHAHAHAHAA

  • Only us Scots are gonna get this video so there is no point watching it if your not Scottish ;)

  • @TheGamerZoneCR Not Scottish but still get it (perhaps not in the grand sophisticated way you do but it made me laugh ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • @celtno1 I live In Belfast mate... Not a million miles away, bit of a swim though :-)

  • @Rantomon if you can understand it and your not Scottish you deserve a medal sir lol

  • 1:51 . .... ?

  • I feel sorry for any Americans who stumble here.

  • @robm14 this american can understand about half of it, hah.

  • Genius. And God Bless the BBC for getting this out there.

  • The guy's a comic genius. When I grew up I always wondered what Yoker was . Absolutely spot on observation. And the voice of Dee Dee, tickles me, because it is one that I put on all the time. I don't know where in Glasgow it orginates from, but it makes me laugh because when I talk that way, it makes me laugh.

  • "I was like 'setup, whole things a setup. Them tha were on that front bus actors, actors, lot of em actors'."

    Fucking amazing

  • Ah went intae the great unknown wae a fuckin Ding!

  • Fockin....headin ae the brew...LMAO!

  • 8 people are "ned zombie pirates"

  • What are all these comments about? It's a comedy sketch, not thoughts on British identity. Just... watch it.

  • @KiNGZeDDi3x

so remember that the natives were catholics and who calls themselves british apart from the huns, the english call themselves english, the welsh are welsh. it only seems to be people yourself who call themselves british

  • @mooneynulson07 Most English people call themselves British, pal. Often they are as happy to be called British as they are English
