There was, and Slash did form the band, they weren't around for long, and they didn't write any material. They just did blues covers (hence the name). As far as I can remember they only did one tour and then disbanded.

@kaaremann Slash's Snakepit wasn't a sideproject.. BluesBall IS a sideproject to Slash's Snakepit, the mostly did covers and no albums were realesed, but the song like this one later got realed on Slash's Snakepit.

i have to agree. it really seems slash is wasting his talent with velvet, so is duff and matt. i really don't like scott, im sure a lot of you can agree axl was a much better front man in comparison. and overall, scott is not a good singer--stone temple pilots sucked, and the whole style isn't raw fuckin gutter rock n' roll like it should be! its so lame and the velvet songs suck.

I'm still going to see them though, lol. Just got tickets. I wanna see Slash ya know. I'm listening a bit to their two albums and i have to admit i'm starting to like it more and more. But this simply isn't as bad-ass as Snakepit, let alone Guns. Scott is a bit gay. I saw some live footage and his moves are kinda gay-is... plus why the hell would a guy wax his armpits? Still, i'm finally gonna see Slash, yay! :D

i´ve seen them three years ago, they were pissed, because the crowd wanted them to play more GNR songs, it was so weird, because it seemed to me, they didn´t get over that shit, still they played GNR Songs. Scott couldn´t get into Axls footsteps,I was dissapointed, still love Slash

Dude it's hard to follow a line up like Guns and Roses. They were as raw as you could get! Especially playing the blues based rock they were in the 80's and early 90's. F'ing amazing band!
