Let's presume there is a percentage X that is the "fair" percentage for rich people to pay. Now let's assume that the rich were paying 5% over X and therefore paying 5% more than they should.

If the government then reduced the rich tax to X from (X+5) people would say this was an example of the government giving the rich an easy time.

The bottom line is that the average person thinks X is a limitless figure - maybe even should be 100%

not a religious person but how are the millions of poor people meant to have faith in our corrupt governments when they keep stealing tax money by force & giving it to their banker/corporate friends? until the government reduces its own size/power MASSIVELY & starts recouping the money they stole from us to bail out failed banks/corporations, no one with more than 1 brain cell is going to trust any one in politics again.
