Nevertheless I agree with parts of your video relating to negative affects a religion like Islam where a consistent correlation can be shown, but certainly not the parts where there is zero correlation between the isolated incident and the ideology of the person claimed to be a valid representative of.
Ask yourself Religious people - WOULD GOD REALLY GIVE EVIDENTIAL RELIGION TO PEOPLE SO THAT THEY WILL FIGHT AGAINST ANY OTHER RELIGION WHICH DISAGREES WITH THEM??!!
Why didn't God speak to us individually so we would know SPECIFICALLY how to do the best for ourselves, without fighting over old unproven books?
Evidently, religion 'kills' people dead! Doesn't have to; but there's something else truly disconcerting to me, as well. Why is GOD most always referred to as "HE," or "Him" or "LORD," or is Lord merely used in reference to one of GOD's Prophets? All guys too, btw. May I remind everyone that, like love, GOD has no gender.
However, being a dreamer, I'm willing WORLD PEACE; LOVE, of course, is ALWAYS! Namaste!
I'm an antitheist myself but some of those were just unfair. I mean Breivik is e mentally ill nationalist. I don't think you can shove the blame on religion, let alone solely on religion.
"can we start killing them now ? few groups are filled with more hatred than athiests" 0:57 This comment made me fall off my chair laughing. How ironic (and moronic if you count the misspelling).
Ahmalala, I have a question for you. Do you actually talk and get to know many atheists? Because you are giving very general claims. It wouldn't be fair if I said that all priests are rapists, would it? Of course not. So why do you say such things like "atheists are morally bankrupt and most are only concerned with self-fulfillment"
@deemo665 I am giving general claims because atheists give General claims. I know you cant generalize any group, especially not because of scattered and isolated incidents here and there as those in the video. Im trying to get athiest here to see that. lol
@ahmalala General claims such as what? Earlier someone said that more religious states have higher rates of teen pregnancy. That is a true statement. Do you know how the process of science operates?
@ahmalala That's exactly what I meant by religious states. Something tells me you know what I meant, but are just being smart about it. I'll rephrase it anyway. The amount of religious people in a state has a strong correlation with the amount of teen pregnancies it has. There have been studies, and they have shown that conservative religious beliefs strongly predict teen birth rates.
@ahmalala The point is that it is a fact, at least when the data is involved. What other factors are involved? I know of a study that took into account income and abortion rates. Neither of these seemed to confound the study. Scientific inquiries are very serious, and confounding is often taken into account. The information is statistically significant. With that statement, you could say that about anything. It's not just "speculation". It's research.
@ahmalala There was a study that was performed that took that into account abortion rates of those teens. It was found that it had no significant impact on the data.
@deemo665 of course it didnt cause they where not getting abortions! unlike in less religious states where they all get abortions by the tons and nobody is born! lol
You obviously don't have any respect for the science that makes our lives so easy. Once, people would have said it's common sense the earth was flat. But of course you don't believe that now, do you? If you use common sense, the idea of an omniscient omnipotent being isn't true either.
Common sense is different to everyone, so it can't be trusted. I could say that it's common sense that all Christians are hypocrites that don't know how to use contraception.
@deemo665 If thats what you call science, its not my science, cause were talking about simple cause and effect or u must be misinterpreting lol Now you also mentioned contraception. Many Catholics dont believe in using it, which also explains higher birth rates as well in addition to the lower birth rates. Case closed
@ahmalala It doesn't matter what "your" science is, it matters what actual science is. I did mention contraception. It does play an important role. More religious people are less likely to use it. The fact that more religious states have more teen pregnancies is a statistical fact. Earlier you stated that atheists "can't control their own fornicating desires" or something as if we go around having 10 partners a week and 4 abortions a year, and that Christians never ever had sex out of wedlock.
@deemo665 I never said we never had sex out of wedlock. If we do, ideally responsibly with the intention of marriage as commanded in the bible and if there is pregnancy accept the responsibility. If they are teens, they probably have had one partner. That being the case nothing wrong with it. Nothing wrong with high pregnancy rates, we dont abort responsibilities. We are fruitful and multiply lol
@ahmalala There actually is a problem with this. We aren't talking about mere pregnancy rates, but teen pregnancies. Teen pregnancies often result in unfavorable conditions for both the child and mother.
@deemo665 ok i read the first 2 pages. They suggest contraception may be the reason. Teens are less likely to be responsible and not know what they are doing and not too religious minded. Adult rates would probably differ and be more pertenant with regards to the religion itself and sexual activities. What this all suggest to me is that the religious dont indoctrinate there kids so much as many athiest seems to assume
@ahmalala They do suggest contraception may be the reason, but the issue is that religious communities focus on abstination, and it's been shown that this doesn't always work. Proper information about contraception and safe sex needs to be given out. You need to read the whole article before you can speculate on anything. Also, don't go on tangents about indoctrination and the like, because those have no relation to what I was saying or what the paper was about.
@deemo665 Its an over increasingly secular society and wreckless sex is rampant among teens being brought up in a religious family doesnt change the influences and there impacts. Religion can have little impact at that age, It had little on me at that age. The influences kids are exposed to do
@ahmalala Again, if it was just because they are teens, then why is there specifically a correlation in the more religious states? I'm sure the fact that they are teenagers has a role, but even still if it was only that factor then we wouldn't see such a difference.
@deemo665 Who knows? as the article suggest if may be the result of not using contraceptions. There may be countless other reasons unknown thus far. Maybe the religious get married younger in some states, Maybe many of these teens are engaged or married.many good possibilities.
@deemo665 To some extent Yes. But im not pro double standards, so its ok. :)
Regarding the abstinense thing, Come to think of it, being abstinent would probably make people more prone to get married at an early age which could also explain higher preganancy rates among teens
@ahmalala: You're going the keep making up excuses why it's okay for the religious to break their own rules. That is exactly what was shown in parts of this video. "It's okay to kill if you have the love of Jesus in your heart." "It's okay to fuck if..." "Rape, if..." on and on and on and on. Religion causes mental illness.
@ahmalala Furthermore, do you actually know they had one partner, or is this just another number you're using based on "common sense"? I have known many religious women with more than one partner. I've known religious women with more partners than I can count on my hands. I've known religious women with no partners. I've known atheist women with lots of partners. Likewise, I've known atheist women with no partners. I make no claims on either.
@deemo665 Well we can assume since they are teens. They havent had much time and probably not much experience which would explain failure to use contraception properly. unless there is data for that too? We cannot always judge who is religious and who is not and by who's standard, it can be hard to say.
@ahmalala You keep using scapegoats. You say that you can't always judge who's religious, but if you'd read the whole article you'd know that they have a very specific definition for that in this case. If it was just because they're teens, you wouldn't see such a significant difference between states You say that you can't always judge who's religious, but here you are saying that atheists are liars, immoral, and spread STD's.
@deemo665 No im not lol I was using generalizations and giving athiests a taste of there own medicine when i said that. Some may be more prone to it. But the main point was to get them to stop using rediculous generalization and double standards. lol
@ahmalala There's nothing wrong with it. I'm merely saying you can't just use the excuse " you can't use data for things this obvious" because there have been many instances in history where our own common sense has failed us. You assume that every atheist gets an abortion, which isn't true.
@deemo665 I didnt say all, but more proned which u admitted and obviously if another group is less proned, then they will have a higher birth rates. If you allege your data contradicts this, you will have to show me your sources.
@ahmalala Like I said, the study took into account abortion rates. It was found that although Christians do have less abortions, if you adjust for that factor then it's still a significant correlation between religion and teen birth rates. I sent the source to you in a message if you wish to see it.
@deemo665 Give me your source. If you cant i cant confirm anything u say. You admit Christians have less abortions, therefore it follows they will have higher birth rates
@ahmalala: Your religion forbids sex before marriage, and the stat's show that the youth of your religion are fucking and popping out babies, outside of marriage, faster than any other group. In other words... Christian's are less moral than non-Christians, according to the christian standard of course. Another way of putting it... Christians can't follow their own fucking rules.
@orbnorian Where does it forbid it? If sex is had before marriage, the only requirement is to marry. The Youth are marrying earlier perhaps You have a problem with that? lol Plus we where talking about teens not adults who are serious about religion. You have no rules and make up your own as u go.
@deemo665 Obviously if they are so religious and have low abortions, they will have High birth rates! cause and effect. You dont need data for something this obvious. soo clear lol sometimes athiest fail at the most obvious things. lol
I also seen the link to this on fb via a friend. You did a great job putting it to video. It still blows my mind how Christians can be so cruel with their comments, and call atheists the hate filled group.
2:40 the bumper sticker that says "my one true god can beat up your Arab myth" do they really know so little about the own religion that they do not know its the same god.
0:59 "Michael Perri - these people are f'ing scum of the earth. ca we start killing them now? few groups are filled with more hatred than athiest." LOL WOW, What a BLIND, HYPOCRITICAL asshole! Ignorance is bliss I guess, but for the love of your Christ, did you not just read ALL the other posts made by your fellow Christians?!?
Wow I feel physically ill after almost 8 minutes of truthful headlines. It's said that things get worse before they get better. I am hoping this is the worst in it's last horrible efforts to remail relevant, before the better
I just hope that this latest surge of bigoted, religious intolerance (the post-9/11 era) is the disgusting eruptions of a boil being lanced. And when we (decent rational people) have eventually shoved these heartless fools back into their box, then, inshallah, medieval religious intolerance will have had its last throw of the dice and will fade away into history. And we can start to grow up a little.
Religion isn't hurting us...? >Sleeping soundly for an exam I really need to be sharp on. >Knock on the door. >Hello, would you be inter- >Can't sleep after that. >Come to exam in poor shape. >Fail it. >Fail college. >Can't afford another year. >Can't find job because no qualifications. >Live on street. >No money for food. >Die.
I didn't even know about the McDonalds-homosexuality thing. I looked it up, and it was a commercial (in France) that pissed of a christian group (in America). The response by the president of "The American Decency Association" was so revolting I dry heaved. "We see McDonald's decision to backhand hundreds of millions of traditional family values people".
If NOT hating someone is offensive to you, you are fucked in the head.
Well, I'm far too calloused to really be upset by anything in this image, but what does make me angry is when people use tired lines such as "it's none of your business", "it doesn't effect you", or "why do you care" in regards to many atheist's distaste for religion, likely because they have never encountered a religious person in their life. This image showcases some pretty good examples of why religion cannot seriously be considered completely innocuous.
man there has got to be something we (atheist) could do...man this just made me feel hopeless...im so glad im an atheist...how anyone can treat anyone like that is beyond me...just unreal......its like these people are so brainwashed....i feel sad for them in a way..but at the same time...fuck em...they had their chance to be civil and they would rather hate...it good to know that we humans have laws and that these acts will not go unpunished despite how much they repent
I nearly cried because of what I saw in this vid. I don't think I should have to cry. I don't think I should have to live in a world where things like this happen.
I thumbed this up and favorited it when what I really wanted to do was thumb it down, flag it as inappropriate due to its nature and have it removed.
Now I am sad. But at least I am sad for the right reasons. Thank you.
I can't believe I am clicking 'Like' on a video that is literally making me physically sick. Add my picture to the bottom of that collage; I am going to have nightmares tonight.
this makes me really angry. i hate how the religious and sometimes non religious say shit like religion isn't that bad.. i'll link them to this video next and show them how they are IGNORANT and how they should be intolerant.
also i dont think mozart's 40th was appropriate for this video but other than that well done.
@ahmalala Not ignoring anything. You're just parroting the same tired lines we've already tossed onto the trash heap for years. And will continue to do so for more to come. I asked for examples, you gave the same trio with a bit of Anders spin for flavor. You're nothing new. On to something more interesting.
@AhrimanAhura Are u denying Hitler followed Social Darwinism? Cause this is an historical fact. Your denying of it only exposes your ignorance lol Keep using your lack of knowledge to parrot lies.
@ahmalala Actually Hitlers ideology was based on christian thought called catholicism. He despised atheism and considered it to be a danger. Another example of Hitlers christianity, google "Concordat between the Holy See and the German Reich [with Supplementary Protocol and Secret Supplement] July 20, 1933"
Calling people idiots when in fact you did not do any research on your own and just parroted christian sites that lie constantly about the fact Hitler was one of them.
@DeadLines73 No it was not. Everyone knows it was based on social darwinism, its a fact not opinion. You can even watch his propoganda videos. He killed for similar reasons some atheist will kill today.
He applied "Darwinistic" principles on his social policies. He was quite religious, but despised organized religion. Ironically, his views on evolution were exactly the scientifically illiterate, Torah-based thought of "within the kind" that religious people nowadays still have.
@laflugantabastardo He hated the Jews and there Torah. He followed aryanism and social darwinism and may have tried to pander to catholics for support. His atheist based Ideologies where destroyed by the Christian U.S and its Christian allies
No, he wrote Mein Kampf in jail, after a failed coup. Quite the political low point, wouldn't you say? In it he repeatedly invokes God. If you want a few quotes, I'll be glad to oblige.
But the fact that he was a Christian is irrelevant; I don't think Christianity teaches mass murder. What's relevant is that he was a nutcase who took Herbert Spencer's (economic) ideas and applied them to social policies. There's nothing atheistic about it. Your Godwin thus collapses.
@ahmalala A fact because of what, because Richard Weikart of the Discovery Institute said so? I have yet to hear any of you people give one instance of anyone killing in the name of Atheism. If you give Stalin or Pol Pot or even the Columbine shootings you are more delusional than I first realized.
@DeadLines73 The Colombine killers are the perfect example though. They went around asking people if they believed in God? and if they said Yes, they where shot in the face. They hated religious people and one had natural selection written on his t shirt. So i will use them
@ahmalala A while back on youtube, there was a Christian. I don't remember his name. He found someone on youtube and killed them. Can I use him as an example then?
@deemo665 Your missing the point lol The guy claimed there where no examples if athiest killing in the name of athiesm so i gave him one. I destroying the insane generalizations and double standards athiests are using here
@ahmalala I would call it more of a hate of Christianity though. How do you know they weren't Muslim? Or any other religion. However, it's still not a valid argument. You also earlier claimed that "Atheism is a cult of sorts, its lead to many atheist based ideologies like Social darwinism, communism etc which have killed more than all religions put together". That is a lie. Lying is a sin.
@ahmalala Actually, you should do more research. A living witness reported that there was only ONE person who was asked if they believed in God. That was Valeen Schnurr. She was spared, actually. So, please look up your material before saying such things.
@deemo665 Only one witness testimony, there where many witness testimonies. I hear many where asked and shot. I will need to do more research to confirm.. You are bored if u looked that up lol
@deemo665 Actually you are very wrong on that one. at least 2 other girls where asked before being Shot in the head They where named Cassie Bernall and Rachel Scott. The replied in the affirmative and where shot because of that.
@ahmalala You are so wrong about the Columbine killers it's laughable. Those kids were satanists, and were in fact not atheists at all so is there anything else you want to be wrong about because I do enjoy showing you how idiotic your assertions are.
@ahmalala Laugh all you want, the myth that they were Atheists has already been debunked. Your information from the book by the mother of one of the slain girls has been shown to be full of lies. They were even labeled as Jews by white supremest sites.
We will never know the whole story but you claiming they were Atheists is about as idiotic as your claim Hitler was a social Darwinist.
@ahmalala - Frighteningly idiot statement....How can anyone find disbelief a motivating factor for anything? Most murders, whether committed by a serial killer or terrorist have a motivating reason - delusional as it may be. Sometimes political, usually religious...If you can find me ONE example of anyone using their atheism as a reason for killing I concede the point.
@rogan71 The colombine killers is one example. Atheism leads to many mental problems, which result in all kinds of crimes and tragedies including suicide which we see often among atheists.
@ahmalala - You're being an idiot! You can't relate mental health problems to atheism. There are just as many, if not more insane religious people! Today, the less religious a society the more educated and morally advanced they generally are...Look it up.
@rogan71 Athiest are more prone to it since they believe they have no reason to exist and have a sad and depressing, meaningless worldview. I see way too many athiest going down the road of destruction and destroying themselves to believe otherwise.
@ahmalala - No, you're thinking of nihilists...Atheists have as much reason as anyone...Personally, if I believed the purpose of my life was to appease an angry sky daddy, then every second of my life would be filled with terror....Atheism isn't a worldview. It's just logical skepticism. You have a very skewed view on what atheism actually is....If the truth depresses people to the point of self harm, well that's their bad luck.
Atheists have lower crime, divorce and abortion rates that theists (US census)
European nations, very atheistic, are at the top of lists in human development (life expectancy, literacy and purchase power parity), economic equality and democratic ratings. Also less crime than the more religious US.
Atheism does not lead to violence, mad ideologies or social breakdown, neither for individuals nor societies. Get your facts straight.
@rogan71 I believe following a religion is in itself a mass mental condition held by many, and isn't recognized as one, so it has never been treated, thus being spread throughout the generations. The brain isn't even close to perfect.
@ahmalala i sincerely hope you dont think thats a sound point. This video draws attention to the fact that numerous atrocities were committed because of religion, not just by religious people. Thats why atrocities committed by atheists are inisgnificant because they are not committed because of an individual belief system.
@ENExStudios Nope, atheism is like an ideology too. An ideology which allows u to have your own code of conduct. Many atheists and groups of atheist like pol pot, stalin, the columbine killers have committed atrocities. So i should hate all atheist and atheist thought according to the logic of this video.
Btw just cause someone happens to be born of a certain religion, does not mean did committed a crime because of that religion. Such was the case with Ander brevik. He was atheist
@ahmalala Ander brevik was a Christian and his actions were religiously motivated. He vehemently hated muslims and felt that "white" European people were being overtaken. His crap is almost in tune with the garbage the EDL spews. Only he took further. Hell the man even wrote a memoir which sheds light into his psychosis. As the for the atheists killing millions can you name some atrocities that were not done by communist atheists.
@ahmalala Oh thats cute. An attack where you don't provide anything substantial to prove me wrong. Seriously what site, video, or newspaper would you like to show which proves me wrong about Breivik. I followed his story closely when it came and he is a christian and he hates muslims.
@ahmalala Political ideologies that caused atrocities. Try again. Make you own video of this many articles, clips, and FB hate posts that can be directly linked to atheist violence.
@AhrimanAhura There Politcal ideologies where based on Atheism. They create there own moralities based on atheisic ideologies like social darwinism as Hitler did
@ahmalala what AhrimanAhura said. Stalin killed because he was a paranoid mad man. Pol Pot killed because he was a racist. These people have done what they've done because of their religious beliefs.
@ahmalala "But atheist have double standards and fail to use common sense"
So much irony in such a little package. I certainly hope you're struck by an epiphany one day and can look back on this to see just how much of an idiot you truly were.
@ahmalala The comment that I quoted from held none of what you're requiring from me. Putting more points into irony are we?
As for my comment, I was simply making an observation and voicing a hope I have for your future. Where is an argument required for either? Besides, I prefer debates... less emotional drivel, more facts. Still, you're free to rage. XD
@ahmalala you could say that but you would be wrong. Christians don't kill abortion doctors because of political reasons. Muslims didn't crash jets into buildings because they're paranoid.
@Dudeamis I disagree, We can count the number of killings of abortion doctors on one hand, someone who does this is extremely disturbed by the idea of Babies being killed in certain ways with certain methods which can be shocking. It may have much more to do with personal disgust of such a thing than any religious ideology. I know personally am against abortion, but not at all for religious reasons.
@ahmalala Abotion Dr.'s killed: David Gunn, Barnett Slepian, Jack Fainman, John Barrett, James Barrett, Wayne Patterson, George Tiller. Just 7 names I found with minimum research. You have 7 fingers on your hand? I didn't list the ones shot, stabbed, threatened, or had their clinics attacked.
@ProportionalResponse Your an idiot to assume any of these few incidents where caused strictly by the religious or for by religious motivations. lol There are atheist, agnostics, buddhist, etc who are equally against certain abortion methods performed by those like Georger Tiller which YOU mentioned.
@ahmalala Christians do a lot more killing than just abortion doctors, sorry. And why are you disgusted by abortions? I more disgusted by people trying to control other people's procreation rights.
@Dudeamis Im personally disgusted by certain abortions like portial birth abortion and similar insane processes and so are many Non religious people as well.
9/11 was more of a political move than a religious move. It's just that religion is so infused into their society, they have to drag their religion into *everything*. In this case, religion was not the cause but the tool.
Perhaps, perhaps not. It is difficult to say because, as I said, religion is so infused with their society. This does not mean religion was the cause of 9/11 - it was still a hatred for America and the way it allegedly treated their home. You know, political motives.
@laflugantabastardo and why do they hate America? Two reasons I believe. First as you mentioned, political, our actions in the Middle East, specifically in the Afgan Russia war. Second they view our country as an immoral land of sin and blasphemy. People are far more willing to kill when they think they'll make their god happy. Look at the IRA, sure the Irish never liked the English but everything was fine until the king forced religious change.
@laflugantabastardo Atheism is a cult of sorts, its lead to many atheist based ideologies like Social darwinism, communism etc which have killed more than all religions put together
I'm both an atheist and a secular humanist. I'm living disproof of everything that you say. But I'm sure you have a good reason to say what you say. Could you explain rather than merely assert?
@laflugantabastardo I lead to such atheist based ideologies when Christianity and religion have been totally rejected and replaced on a grand scale. The result has never been a good one.
Again, you're merely asserting. So, explain how "not believing in a god" leads to murder, death, rape, etc. Suppose you lost your faith today. How would that bring you to kill people?
@laflugantabastardo I already did. Make u sure u view all comments. It may not lead anyone to such an extreme but more proned to create there own morality which may not allow them to treat others equally or with as much care as they would want for themselves
@laflugantabastardo It wouldnt cause i have had a strong morality shaped by Christian values, people who are raised with lower values and standards behave accordingly for the most part
@laflugantabastardo Atheism can and has lead to many morally bankrupt moralities and value systems. We can see examples of this today with regards to things like abortion, most athiests could care less about even the harshest forms of abortion like partial birth abortion because they care more about there own pleasure and selfishness.
> Atheism can and has lead to many morally bankrupt moralities and value systems. ... most athiests ... care more about there own pleasure and selfishness.
Again I must note that that is a mere assertion and ask: How does atheism lead to evil?
@laflugantabastardo Because it can and has lead to atheist based ideologies which can and have caused many evils in the past. Why expect a better outcome in the future? lol and not caring about the consequences of actions is an individual evil
It seems you're just repeating what you have already said, just in different words. There's no progression in this conversation. Please, do mull it over first, keeping Romans 2:14,15 in mind.
Here's the question again: How do you go from not believing in a god to not caring about the consequences of one's own actions? There's no need to hurriedly answer, take your time.
@laflugantabastardo I already did. I even gave an example. Many dont care about the consequences of there actions upon others because they have a low morality they themselves have formed on the basis of benifiting only themselves and not treating there neighbor as themself.
@laflugantabastardo You keep asking the same question while ignoring the answer. lol
Atheism allows u to create your own moral system which is proned only to self benefit and aimed at self pleasure and benefit as the highest goal or ideal while at the expense of others,We can see this in the example i gave about abortion among others.
Ah, there you say it well. It *allows* you to do so. Driving a car allows you to kill people. But you have not yet shown a causal connection. ie, driving a car does not make you prone to running over old ladies. How does not believing in a god make one prone to do evil?
Is it okay if I use this video in a debate I'm doing in school soon?

@deemo665 of course it didnt cause they where not getting abortions! unlike in less religious states where they all get abortions by the tons and nobody is born! lol
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala Are you even reading my comments? The study found that abortion didn't confound the data.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 Of course it does. Its common sense! lol
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala
I could say that it's common sense that all Christians are hypocrites that don't know how to use contraception.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 If thats what you call science, its not my science, cause were talking about simple cause and effect or u must be misinterpreting lol Now you also mentioned contraception. Many Catholics dont believe in using it, which also explains higher birth rates as well in addition to the lower birth rates. Case closed
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala oops meant to say lower abortion rates at the end instead of birth rates.
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala It doesn't matter what "your" science is, it matters what actual science is. I did mention contraception. It does play an important role. More religious people are less likely to use it. The fact that more religious states have more teen pregnancies is a statistical fact. Earlier you stated that atheists "can't control their own fornicating desires" or something as if we go around having 10 partners a week and 4 abortions a year, and that Christians never ever had sex out of wedlock.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 I never said we never had sex out of wedlock. If we do, ideally responsibly with the intention of marriage as commanded in the bible and if there is pregnancy accept the responsibility. If they are teens, they probably have had one partner. That being the case nothing wrong with it. Nothing wrong with high pregnancy rates, we dont abort responsibilities. We are fruitful and multiply lol
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala There actually is a problem with this. We aren't talking about mere pregnancy rates, but teen pregnancies. Teen pregnancies often result in unfavorable conditions for both the child and mother.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 ok i read the first 2 pages. They suggest contraception may be the reason. Teens are less likely to be responsible and not know what they are doing and not too religious minded. Adult rates would probably differ and be more pertenant with regards to the religion itself and sexual activities. What this all suggest to me is that the religious dont indoctrinate there kids so much as many athiest seems to assume
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala They do suggest contraception may be the reason, but the issue is that religious communities focus on abstination, and it's been shown that this doesn't always work. Proper information about contraception and safe sex needs to be given out. You need to read the whole article before you can speculate on anything. Also, don't go on tangents about indoctrination and the like, because those have no relation to what I was saying or what the paper was about.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 Its an over increasingly secular society and wreckless sex is rampant among teens being brought up in a religious family doesnt change the influences and there impacts. Religion can have little impact at that age, It had little on me at that age. The influences kids are exposed to do
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala Again, if it was just because they are teens, then why is there specifically a correlation in the more religious states? I'm sure the fact that they are teenagers has a role, but even still if it was only that factor then we wouldn't see such a difference.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 Who knows? as the article suggest if may be the result of not using contraceptions. There may be countless other reasons unknown thus far. Maybe the religious get married younger in some states, Maybe many of these teens are engaged or married.many good possibilities.
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala I can use that exact same argument for anything you say about atheism.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 To some extent Yes. But im not pro double standards, so its ok. :)
Regarding the abstinense thing, Come to think of it, being abstinent would probably make people more prone to get married at an early age which could also explain higher preganancy rates among teens
ahmalala 1 month ago

I make no claims on either.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 Well we can assume since they are teens. They havent had much time and probably not much experience which would explain failure to use contraception properly. unless there is data for that too? We cannot always judge who is religious and who is not and by who's standard, it can be hard to say.
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala You keep using scapegoats. You say that you can't always judge who's religious, but if you'd read the whole article you'd know that they have a very specific definition for that in this case. If it was just because they're teens, you wouldn't see such a significant difference between states You say that you can't always judge who's religious, but here you are saying that atheists are liars, immoral, and spread STD's.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 No im not lol I was using generalizations and giving athiests a taste of there own medicine when i said that. Some may be more prone to it. But the main point was to get them to stop using rediculous generalization and double standards. lol

ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala There's nothing wrong with it. I'm merely saying you can't just use the excuse " you can't use data for things this obvious" because there have been many instances in history where our own common sense has failed us. You assume that every atheist gets an abortion, which isn't true.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 I didnt say all, but more proned which u admitted and obviously if another group is less proned, then they will have a higher birth rates. If you allege your data contradicts this, you will have to show me your sources.
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala Like I said, the study took into account abortion rates. It was found that although Christians do have less abortions, if you adjust for that factor then it's still a significant correlation between religion and teen birth rates. I sent the source to you in a message if you wish to see it.
deemo665 1 month ago
@deemo665 Give me your source. If you cant i cant confirm anything u say. You admit Christians have less abortions, therefore it follows they will have higher birth rates

@ahmalala: Your religion forbids sex before marriage, and the stat's show that the youth of your religion are fucking and popping out babies, outside of marriage, faster than any other group. In other words... Christian's are less moral than non-Christians, according to the christian standard of course. Another way of putting it... Christians can't follow their own fucking rules.
orbnorian 1 month ago
@orbnorian Where does it forbid it? If sex is had before marriage, the only requirement is to marry. The Youth are marrying earlier perhaps You have a problem with that? lol Plus we where talking about teens not adults who are serious about religion. You have no rules and make up your own as u go.
ahmalala 1 month ago

Well, I'm far too calloused to really be upset by anything in this image, but what does make me angry is when people use tired lines such as "it's none of your business", "it doesn't effect you", or "why do you care" in regards to many atheist's distaste for religion, likely because they have never encountered a religious person in their life. This image showcases some pretty good examples of why religion cannot seriously be considered completely innocuous.

@ahmalala: "... Hitler followed Social Darwinism... " no he didn't
orbnorian 1 month ago
@ahmalala Actually Hitlers ideology was based on christian thought called catholicism. He despised atheism and considered it to be a danger. Another example of Hitlers christianity, google "Concordat between the Holy See and the German Reich [with Supplementary Protocol and Secret Supplement] July 20, 1933"
Calling people idiots when in fact you did not do any research on your own and just parroted christian sites that lie constantly about the fact Hitler was one of them.
DeadLines73 1 month ago
@DeadLines73 No it was not. Everyone knows it was based on social darwinism, its a fact not opinion. You can even watch his propoganda videos. He killed for similar reasons some atheist will kill today.
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala
He applied "Darwinistic" principles on his social policies. He was quite religious, but despised organized religion. Ironically, his views on evolution were exactly the scientifically illiterate, Torah-based thought of "within the kind" that religious people nowadays still have.
laflugantabastardo 1 month ago
@laflugantabastardo He hated the Jews and there Torah. He followed aryanism and social darwinism and may have tried to pander to catholics for support. His atheist based Ideologies where destroyed by the Christian U.S and its Christian allies
ahmalala 1 month ago
@ahmalala

Atheists have lower crime, divorce and abortion rates that theists (US census)
European nations, very atheistic, are at the top of lists in human development (life expectancy, literacy and purchase power parity), economic equality and democratic ratings. Also less crime than the more religious US.

@ENExStudios Nope, atheism is like an ideology too. An ideology which allows u to have your own code of conduct. 9/11 was more of a political move than a religious move. It's just that religion is so infused into their society, they have to drag their religion into *everything*. In this case, religion was not the cause but the tool.

laflugantabastardo 1 month ago
@laflugantabastardo and why do they hate America? Two reasons I believe. First as you mentioned, political, our actions in the Middle East, specifically in the Afgan Russia war. Second they view our country as an immoral land of sin and blasphemy. People are far more willing to kill when they think they'll make their god happy. Look at the IRA, sure the Irish never liked the English but everything was fine until the king forced religious change.

@laflugantabastardo Look at history, When atheism is the foundation of a nation and replaces all religion the result has never been favorable.

You've thrown out that red herring just a few minutes ago and I'm not biting. :-)
Please, do answer the question I just posed: If you would lose your faith in the existence of Yahweh, how would that bring you to murder or rape?

@laflugantabastardo I already did. Make u sure u view all comments. It may not lead anyone to such an extreme but more proned to create there own morality which may not allow them to treat others equally or with as much care as they would want for themselves

@laflugantabastardo It wouldnt cause i have had a strong morality shaped by Christian values, people who are raised with lower values and standards behave accordingly for the most part

@ahmalala
So it's not atheism that is the cause of such evil - it's the lack of a value system. Do I understand you correctly?
laflugantabastardo 1 month ago
@laflugantabastardo Atheism can and has lead to many morally bankrupt moralities and value systems. We can see examples of this today with regards to things like abortion, most athiests could care less about even the harshest forms of abortion like partial birth abortion because they care more about there own pleasure and selfishness.

> Atheism can and has lead to many morally bankrupt moralities and value systems. ... most athiests ... care more about there own pleasure and selfishness.
Again I must note that that is a mere assertion and ask: How does atheism lead to evil?
laflugantabastardo 1 month ago
@laflugantabastardo Because it can and has lead to atheist based ideologies which can and have caused many evils in the past. Why expect a better outcome in the future? lol and not caring about the consequences of actions is an individual evil

@ahmalala
It seems you're just repeating what you have already said, just in different words. There's no progression in this conversation. Please, do mull it over first, keeping Romans 2:14,15 in mind.
Here's the question again: How do you go from not believing in a god to not caring about the consequences of one's own actions? There's no need to hurriedly answer, take your time.
laflugantabastardo 1 month ago
@laflugantabastardo I already did. I even gave an example. Many dont care about the consequences of there actions upon others because they have a low morality they themselves have formed on the basis of benifiting only themselves and not treating there neighbor as themself.

@ahmalala
We agree there are selfish people. So what does that have to do with not believing in a god?
laflugantabastardo 1 month ago
@laflugantabastardo You keep asking the same question while ignoring the answer. lol
Atheism allows u to create your own moral system which is proned only to self benefit and aimed at self pleasure and benefit as the highest goal or ideal while at the expense of others,We can see this in the example i gave about abortion among others.

@ahmalala
Ah, there you say it well. It *allows* you to do so. Driving a car allows you to kill people. But you have not yet shown a causal connection. ie, driving a car does not make you prone to running over old ladies. How does not believing in a god make one prone to do evil?
