Just keep trying no matter what and don't let people or yourself get you down. If it's really a sport you enjoy then how good or bad you are shouldn't matter much to you. @shaneevz if you just beginning the cheapest okay bike atm is a Mongoose Logo, about £180... But realistically you're not going to get great quality under £250-£300, then the prices keep rising... look for 25 tooth sprocket and 9 tooth freewheel, the more cro-mo the better (the metal used) but you won't find this in cheaper bikes, also look at the weight, mines roughly 23lbs but it cost me £450. Alloy is good for pegs, stem, chainring etc... good luck!!
