You need something like 40-1 by weight.

@Serostern - I tried a massive variation of quantity, from a tiny squirt to a soaking, none worked - they just flame out the sides and don't seem to actually inflate the tyre.

Nope, it removes oxygen but creates other gases
(and a bit of moisture) in replacement, and causes them to expand in the process.
