This girl is a joke. Make her play through a 1968 Marshall Plexi with no effects where she would have to work the notes and she would sound like a 2 year beginner. No soul, no dynamics, no feel. If you were to black out the video and only hear the audio you would laugh out loud. I admire her for her effort however, she is nowhere NEAR the skill level of many other people her age who don't look like a Pretty Japanese anime character. Girl, learn your craft, then post videos.

If that's what people are commenting on then they're not being impartial in the evaluation of what's going on. She doesn't "suck", you may dislike the tone, picking techique or style of music that's being played, but that is your opinion and not an evaluation of her skill level.

She is far from overrated, she is insanely talented as an artist and a musician. Very few artists these days can sing and play as well as she does. @iamtheonug Well first of all i own 7 electric guitars and soon i will have 9. My 4:th guitar was the same razorback deam dimebag as in the video, but i sold it because the guitar sucked. I am in a band which is sponsored. Well were not sponsored by anything that great yet. And also im much more creative when im creating guitar riffs.
I can sweep better than her. I can bend strings better than her. I can finger tap better than her.
I can shred cleaner than her. I can hammer on/pull of better.

This girl is a joke. Make her play through a 1968 Marshall Plexi with no effects where she would have to work the notes and she would sound like a 2 year beginner. No soul, no dynamics, no feel. If you were to black out the video and only hear the audio you would laugh out loud. I admire her for her effort however, she is nowhere NEAR the skill level of many other people her age who don't look like a Pretty Japanese anime character. Girl, learn your craft, then post videos.

Actually most of the commenters are the jokes, not the guitar player. Post opinions based on the music, not the gender of the person playing it. If that's what people are commenting on then they're not being impartial in the evaluation of what's going on. She doesn't "suck", you may dislike the tone, picking techique or style of music that's being played, but that is your opinion and not an evaluation of her skill level.

Knowing others who can play circles around her does not make her bad, it's a flawed argument. For example, her "brief lesson on sweep picking" video is decent, her technique is sound enough there. No, she's not the next Jeff Loomis or any other guitarist you want to think of, but she is not "terrible". Just saying she's terrible doesn't make it so.
