u' re a good player but this method is so long and I think that is best to use the "nemean cestus" without kickin' the fuckin' dogs..the trick is to stand behind the dog and continue to hit him .. when you are having difficulty using the magic and sweeps away all..appears when the satyr change weapon and use the Gorgon's head to petrify ... so it is easier

@1truegangstar There are two ways to provoke taunts in this fight: 1) Jump up and down, 2) stand at the edge of the arena. If you do both, it makes it even more likely that the enemies will taunt.

MrEmpirical, does pain condition mean only BoE or you can use other weapons (if it not forced by the game)? In this case nemesis whip and claws would be more useful in this fight, because they have faster ascension.

@F1amboyant You can only use the BoE unless the game forces you to use a different weapon. For example, you have to use Cestus to break Skorpius's legs.

@popemobile15 It's called taunt provoking. There is no glitch involved. A truly skilled player knows how to control enemy behavior. This is true of every game.

@popemobile15 Well, I'll make you a deal: if they patch the broken grabbing mechanics in GoW3, I'll go back and make a PAIN+ HCB vid without taunt provoking. After all, the only reason I use taunt provoking is because the game doesn't obey your controller inputs when you're trying to grab the whelps with other enemies nearby. Hence the usefulness of controlling enemy behavior.

@popemobile15 How so? If it takes no skill to do what I did, why haven't more people been able to do it? To my knowledge, I was the second person after GodModeGOD ever to complete a PAIN+ run of GoW3. Now Shinobier and zKo are doing PAIN+ runs too. But no one else is stepping up to the challenge.

@MrEmpirical obviously it takes a lot of skill to do PAIN+ runs, but it takes no skill to taunt provoke an enemy and make the game easier on yourself. You might as well be playing this on easy if you're going to do things that make the enemies not attack you.

@popemobile15 lol if you think taunt provoking makes this fight equivalent to playing on easy, why don't you try this fight yourself under PAIN+ conditions. Let me know how many attempts it takes you to beat the HCB with just the Blades of Exile. Use as much taunt provoking as you want. If it's as easy as you say, it should be no problem for you.

@addaminsain Stupidly, you get a better frame advantage when you simply block a Satyr's attacks, rather than when you parry them. It seems the GoW3 designers did not want to reward skillful parrying. In fact, usually a Satyr will just block your Ascension after you parry.
