  • So you cook hobos in this?

  • got yourself a nice looking dog there.... not to bad on the stove/ hobo cooker.. nice vid. 5/5

  • what type of pot it that?

  • Awesome videos. I find these kind of videos particularly interesting because, on some level, what you're doing is similar to what people had to do to survive back before stoves and microwaves, and processed foods and grocery stores. Certainly in some parts of the world people are *still* living off the land like that. I've always found that intriguing. All very very interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful dog you have as well. Is it a Black Labrador?

  • titanium ?!! Hobo?!!! i never though they 'd mix eachother...lol

  • Impressive, it is so well made, it looks like something you can sell in a camping store. I've tried different stoves, and I will give this one a shot myself. Thanks for a very good video.

  • @inkey2 They are easy to clean and cook once you get their stinky outer layer off.

Years spent in their natural habitat renders them already self marinated and well tenderized.

I understand their livers are pre pickled and enlarged. Delicious on crackers, not unlike fois gras.

Not all is well though, the kidneys must be cooked thoroughly. Best served in dumplings or a pudding.

The ears are an excellent source of paraffin too.

    For candles of course.

  • Is there like a whole dvd set ? Where can i find this ?

  • finaly i can cook my hobos spare ribs

  • Thank you for the music track that isn't howling electric guitars and people screaming. Much appreciated.

  • This is great. I can finally start cooking all those hobos I have in the freezer. Thanks!

  • Pretty cool :) You can also make a really easy one out of just a soup can or any kind of food can really. I bet this works better though.

  • I like the bag . What brand and where did you get it?

  • Neat

  • Do you know where the biscuit barrel came from? I've been looking for one to fit my 12cm zebra billy for a while, they seem to be slim on the ground. :(

  • @yeesnaw they can use......sticks???

  • Bud, what type of pack are you using? Also, what kind of Biscuit tin (Brand Name or something. I have some friends in the UK that are looking for this for me and they can't find anything like it.

  • are you a brummie dude ????

  • the A team makes one like this 2!!!

  • excellent video mate, like the way you used the reeds as a strainer, i made a stove similair to this about three years ago out of an old bean tin it'll only hold small billy's but it does the job and is very small for packing in a day pack.

i'll be visiting your site no doubt, 5*.

  • Thats very interesting. I liked your video alot i will be subscribing!!

    5/5

  • nice little video - cheers !

  • so sad...

  • After seeing this, I'm moving to the forest right away.

  • "We take all major credit cards including paypal..."

    How kind of you!

To be honest, I can't understand what you're saying. Are you saying "this is the remnants of an old bisquit bottle"? Or whiskey bottle? "we'll allow the Billy Cum to sit in there..." What? Seriously, what the fcuk are you saying?

So, what you've done is simply miniaturized a rocket stove/VITA stove. Congrats!

  • Fuck You.

  • Great vid good info

  • are you all stupid a biscuit in england is a biscuit not a cracker !!!!

  • let me explain it to them, a biscuit is a cookie in england, it wont do them any good to know that a biscuit is a biscuit

  • Ahh yes, a biscuit container, why didn't I think of that. I know what a biscuit is, a cookie or a cracker, because on the Mayflower coming over here in 1620, all they had to eat were biscuits and water, (cookies and crackers) But a cracker in the UK is something like being crazy isn't it? And being pissed off is being drunk, (as has been said before, "divided by a common language".

Cheers and regards, jolly good comments.

And Bloody Good Video, well done, mate!

  • im from the UK

ive only ever heard people be called a cracker as rasictism for a white person.

    and being 'pissed' is drunk

    pissed off is annoyed lol

  • Well, guess what, divided by a common language can be so much fun. I learned my words bass-ackward from living in the British Caribbean Islands for a few years. No telling what anything meant really. All that fun, sun and rum you know.. I ate Shirley Biscuits with a glass of milk for midnight snack, definately cookies. But there are sea-biscuits, dry bread biscuits, brown biscuits which I don't think are cookies. ;)

  • Very Cool!!!

  • all good!

But what's the metal base of the cooker? It sounded like you said "old whiskey bottle" but I never saw whiskey come in a metal container, so anyway, where would I get a flexible metal thing like that?

  • he said an old biscuit container . what a biscuit is to a british person i've no idea lol some type of cracker perhaps? their crisps=our potato chips and their chips=our french fries. very strange. but to each his own

  • Love the video, love the music, the shots of the stream, the dog. High class camper!

But what are the little red things you're not eating?

  • They are rose hips. This is only a very small part of a 1 hour dvd we sell were all this is explained in detail

  • menderfire9 and I aren't accustomed to all this european flora and fauna, save the species brought to the New World back in the day, (oak, dandelions, daisies, etc). i only know what rosehips and elderberries are from Brian Jacques' Redwall series lol. Great Videos, keep 'em coming.

  • what kind of stone he use to fire paper?

  • magnesium stick then flint

  • does that sandwich advertisement show up wen yall watch videos

  • Very nice. One question though - how long can you have a fire going before the ashes clog up the lower airholes? I always have trouble with a closed-bottom hobostove...

  • cool

  • the montage music made my day. very relaxing. took my mind off the fact that i needed to master this to eat tonight

  • Mg ignition? No. Not enough heat and too fast.

And sparkles don't come with dry pineapples.

So what did you use? I dont believe this was a regular flint.

  • He just scraped some of the flint off into a small pile on the paper before he lit it i do it all the time

  • magnesium strip. scrape some off and spark it

  • You really don't need to scrape that...

  • yeah true. They have two differasnt kinds, The little key chain style that u spark with a knife or a square piece you chissle off some pieces and ignite.

  • i have a question, i just got a sparker and when i use a thin kitchen knive it sparks weel but when i use mu winchester pocker foldable hunting knife doest spark, do u know why is the material different?????????

  • I think that it works best with carbon steel blade.

  • First of all, you should learn how to spell, second, you really think i care about what you say? i know that you are like 8 years old kiddie who has just heard what sex is. So stfu, Thank you.

  • Lol

  • Yer what the hell is wrong with him? Is he 10? i mean what a loser!

  • Is the winchester sharp? that could be yer problem try sharpening it an see what happens.

  • grande!

  • do u live in the wild

  • love the intro music!!!!!

  • could u please tell me what u put over the can to filter the water?

  • i'm guessing it was pineneedles

  • Probably stems of that water plant in the last shot.

  • pine needles?

  • yeah

  • no..pine cones

  • nice vid. I wanted to reach through the screen and pet your dog!
