  • Sooo sweet! Thats beautiful

  • Hopefully Ill get to treat my future wife to a wedding like this whenever i find her, and is the guy at the end like 7 yrs old lol

  • @15MrRob because i wanted to be a combat medic and did not want to join the navy to be a corpsmen.

so i decided to follow the family tradition and go army, luckily for me it worked out and i got the job i wanted and fulfilled my dream since i was a kid.

  • This is what my wedding is going to be like.

  • The day hubby and i got married honestly was 1 of the WORST days of my life, his parents didnt bring his brothers, sister b/c they thought we didnt want kids there.my parents brought my 2 brothers.the day of,he was nervous, drove like a bat out of hell, was arguing with me,

  • @thecolaratlady Part 2 : i goofed up my vows infront of the jop.at our reception,my stupid mother said that someone had taken our gifts (joking) he got mad, went back to our apt.would not open the door i was in tears, his mom was banging on the door telling him to open it.everytime i think about it, i get very angry. If i ever become single again. G*d himself couldnt come down, order me to marry.

  • Who doesn't want to marry a Marine?<3

  • Comment removed

  • You're supposed to smack the wife on the ass! Uhh, it's supposed to symbolize a "welcome to the corps" type deal...

  • That's it, I want a Marine

  • @sheSCREAMDRemedy7 Marry me..hehe

  • I wanna marry a Marine *,*

  • anyone noticed the short guy....... I like this thoug

  • @TheKeiffers YEAH. I NOTICED THE little GUY. I LAUGHED WHEN I SAW HIM!!!

  • I would haze myself if i ever had to do this detail .

  • The groom's a Cpl not a LCpl which means he is a NCO.

  • @HoComputersInc The LCpl is on the last one on the left, and that would be a Jr. NCO

  • @jerryboy219 Sorry, but no. A L/Cpl is still a nonrate (the Marines' term for Private, PFC, and L/Cpl.).

That's why he doesn't have a blood stripe...Only, NCOs, Staff NCOs, and Officers rate it.

And you pay for that stripe or you did when I was a Marine NCO, by having it "pinned" on you by others of the same or higher rank.

  • i wished i married my marine.

  • im next ! <3

  • You don't rate a sword detail at your wedding if you are not a Staff NCO, Warrant Officer, or Commissioned Officer.

  • Although they don't tell you. You buy you do buy your dress blues, comes out of your pay automatically in boot.

  • @ninnymuggins80 you must be gay

  • do you have to be a certain rank to buy the uniform? and do you get it for free?

  • @NGsleepy147 u get your dress blues when you are inducted into the marine core.... no you have to buy it im petty sure my dads been in for 21 years now

  • Dress Blues beat all other military uniforms!

  • thats nasty fuckin lcpl got a sword lucky i dnt kno dat fuckin marine ill fuckin rip him a new ass

  • somewhere a sgtmaj is raging that a lcpl has a sword in this detail

  • @sumxkindaxhate I saw that too. I know sometimes you run out of people or you have a Marine you just really want to include... BUT A LCPL DON'T RATE A SWORD!!!

  • @sumxkindaxhate LOL. I was thinking the same thing...I was at a wedding where we did one of these, and at the time I was a LCpl so, of course, I wasn't allowed to be in the detail using an NCO sword...

  • @sumxkindaxhate Holy shit! Didn't notice till you pointed that out. I'm ragging that non-rate is holding my sword!

  • @sumxkindaxhate lol so funny man, i can imagine him now hahaha

  • @sumxkindaxhate

Was about to go "Where?" then I saw him. So...... never mind. :P

  • Wow, why is there so much fighting going on about the Uniform?

Don't forget what your USMC are bassed on, HMRMC

  • does this happen every time a marine marries?

  • @ch606 Yes

  • @ch606 yes you must where your uniform to every former event. If you don't you could face severe penalties like de rank

  • fake and gay

  • @ninnymuggins80 you're fake and gay. go troll somewhere else

  • @metalmaistro68 you hurt my feelings

  • @ninnymuggins80 don't care. move along

  • @metalmaistro68 did you know saliva contains enzymes that begin to break food apart before digestion?

  • the short guy at the back of the line

  • @wanglimp you are probably a fuckin pog if you feel the need to constantly talk about the manuals

  • 1:19 i thought thats the moment when they're supposed to kiss each other

  • i got a question, when do marines use dress blues? do they use them on special ceremonies or what?

  • @elnegry2008 i dont know if some1 answered ur question yet but their are two classes of dress blues A and B. dress blue A consists of what u see in the vid. B is the same but without the white gloves and ribbons and rifle badges ares placed instead of medals. not to answer ur question by USMC order dress blue A is only worn during military ceremonies and events while B is for everything else. but in events like this marines usually can get away with it sometimes by permission.

  • @elnegry2008 You can use your dress blues during ceremonies. I don't think everyone is required to have a set but that is being worked on Im sure.

  • @zillaxy

It's crazy how sensitive people are. You didn't say anything wrong about our military you just expressed an opinion. People need to RELAX! LOL. I personally love the dress blues and think their "apparel" is the most elegant across the branches. = )

  • Oh!! Thank you :D

  • I never understood why they slap their ass with the sword?? Can someone please explain?

  • @PhoenixImmortal18

I was AF honor guard back in '06 and when it came to the final swords being brought down the guy closest to the bridge would slap her rear and he says "Welcome to the (insert military branch here)" It's a tradition for all military weddings with a sword cordon.

  • @PhoenixImmortal18

The guy closest to the bride says "welcome to the (insert military branch here)" It's a long-standing tradition with military weddings that have sword cordons.

    SSgt. Smith

    AF Honor Guard '06

  • @PhoenixImmortal18 Its just a way of saying "welcome to the Corps"

  • i cant wait to have this at my wedding lol.

  • @wanglimp I can forward you the link to the most up to date order if you like. It's change 1 in case you have an extreamly old drill manual.

  • Are you sure you have the most up to date order? I pulled mine up from the marines.mil website. Under news, Marine Corp electronic publications. Do a search for that order. Either that or get your eyes checked. I copied and pasted what I put in my last comment. Besides, all officers would rate the arch, commissioned or otherwise.

  • @wanglimp1 "The arch of swords for weddings is authorized for commissioned, warrant, staff noncommissioned, and noncommissioned officers." Excerpt from the drill manual, first paragraph under "5016. FORMING AN ARCH OF SWORDS FOR WEDDINGS." Last I checked, a Corporal is a noncommissioned officer or NCO. He does rate the arch. @Azishome, wanglimp is right about Marines criticizing one another. It's the nature of the beast. The Marine Corps beast.

  • @staticmut84 Wrong, you need to read it again,

5016. FORMING AN ARCH OF SWORDS FOR WEDDINGS

    1. The arch of swords for weddings is authorized for commissioned, warrant and

staff noncommissioned officers only. The arch of swords ceremony is an old

English and American custom, which gives a symbolic pledge of loyalty to the newly

married couple from their Marine family. Only the newly married couple is allowed

    to pass under the arch. MCO P5060.20 5 MAY 03 CH5 SEC 5016 PAR 1 PG 5-26.

  • @wanglimp1 All officers (including noncoms) rate a sword arch. This is something covered during any ceremony/drill period of instruction. Such as staff academy.

  • Well, see, Stryker, some people don't see the entire world as being run by the Marine manuals. Some people are just friends and want to make their friends happy. By the, Stryker, you may not understand that. And by the way, I'm not a veteran Marine. My son is, though. He thinks people like you are asses. .

  • @Azishome You are either a woman, or your son is in this video. Either way rationalizing with you will probably be a waste of time, and if your son thinks I am an ass then too bad. Marines criticize other Marines all the time, and most of the time it is WAY more harsh that what I said. If a you are a Marine and you post a video like this, with a wedding detail that is all gooned up, you should expect that other Marines look at youtube and will see and criticize. Thats all I'm Gonna say.

  • What mos would that be

  • hey marines semper fi delis i would had busted my ass laughing but knowing it was all for purpose ha ha ha.. keep motivated and stay safe even if you get deployed away from home. OOOOOOHHHHH RRRAHHHHHH

  • @sexymarine29 eat shit

  • i would've been funny if you hadann itch on your nose durring parade rest!XD...oh and i hope that you two have a long and happy mairrage!

  • Im getting married to a Marine this year =)

  • Might want to work on some DNC a bit more.

  • All you Cpl course fags need to get a life.......The war fighters have more important shit to do than twirling swords like you turds.

  • sword detail was pretty horrid..

  • this ceremony...is it done for everyone in the military even someone of low rank? its really cool...and is it free or do u have to pay?

  • @sweetreview its optional, and anyone who is military can get it. you have to pay of course but i don't really know the details on that.

  • @sweetreview lol, with da help of people u call friends bro. pretty sure da groom and his marine friends of course just got together and coordinated this after work

  • This obviously wasn't a detailed and thought out thing guys...It was probably a bunch of his buds being good friends. If you noticed, one of them smacked the groom's ass with the sword.

  • @Mygirlfriendisfat thats a tradition....

  • am i seeing this correctly? is that a lance carrying an NCO sword? and a bunch of NCOs and above don't correct him...awesome...

  • @jheckman22 a lance could use for instructionalpurposes... and if he is a good at it or holds the billet

  • @MyIsamar send me the maradmin on that

  • @jheckman22 whats your email

  • @jheckman22 well, in todays new corps, yep new corps. as long as u call "for instructional purposes only" anything and pretty much everything can happen

  • I Find It Funny How No One Applause When The Bride Comes Out

  • this was obviously a little unofficial ceremony his fellow marines threw for him.the real wedding was inside

  • Looks like that Corporal has a Purple Heart. Sweet!

  • Why is there a LANCE CORPORAL with my NCO SWORD?!?!?! Nice vid by the way...

  • Why is there a LANCE CORPORAL with my NCO SWORD?!?!?!

  • Whoever taught the drill needs to look into the 5060. Why is the command "Cover" given when there is no second or third squad? On the preparatory command "Parade", all swords are "Pushed" to approximately 3 inches off the deck then eased down after the command of execution "Rest". If you're wearing the uniform and performing drill movements then do it the right way.

  • @smokeyhat: I couldn't agree more. I remember spending hours upon hours looking through the MCO P5060.20 making sure I drilled the arch I was responsible for the RIGHT way.

A nugget of knowledge for your buttpack from paragraph 5016 "1. The arch or swords for wedding is authorized for commissioned, warrant and staff noncommissioned officers only."

  • Loved it. Patriotism with a sense of humor.

  • I done that once at sunset cliffs in SD for my good friend that got married, it was cool, lots of beer later that night. good times.

  • I guess it's the "New" Marine Corps, where they smack the Marine with the sword, instead of the Bride. DADT...

  • 1:18 the best part :D

  • woah is that a purple heart?

  • Comment removed

  • @Murcielago247 Indeed it is my friend.

  • love how it turned around in these ceremony..usually the wife gets smacked with the sword lol

  • @zillaxy

    just for your information.

    they're called Dress Blues.

the red stripe on their pants is called the "Blood Stripe". these are the best of your military. they're the ones on the front line and the first called to duty.

you need to have a little respect for them and all that they do. don't diss on a uniform you know nothing about.

  • @xxohboiee dude...i'm nt Am so I dn't need to be respectful of the uniform or the fact that they fight 4 *your country. I merely commented dt *I thought d uniform was ugly... they cud redesign it with more harmonious colours and still hv d blood stripe on d side, or not. I'm sure you dont give 2 about my country's military & dt's ok...if you thot their uniform was ugly, it'd b ok too. FULL STOP. chill with d respect crap their uniform has nothin to do with their ability to do their jobs well. x

  • @zillaxy At least respect the fact that they do a job that most want nothing to do with. The uniform also has a lot more to do with Marine Corps history than you think.

  • @ReconMarine012

A lot to do with their history, yes. In fact, it was designed in the 19th century and has been worn in essentially the same form. And it shows.

Why are some Americans so twitchy the second you criticize anything that is related to the military? My dad was in for over 30yrs and now, my brother for over 20. So yes, I do have a very healthy respect for those who serve. Saying a uniform looks odd offends you? Sorry.

  • @zillaxy It doesn't offend me, just how you wrote your last post about how you don't need to respect the fact that they fight for their country is really what got me. I'm greatful that you brother and father both served in the military. I think it was more of a mis-interpretation of that last post lol

  • @zillaxy your*

  • @zillaxy How dare you mock the uniform in which is one of the prodest amongst the United States Military. Even the smallest disrespect shows your ignorance. You need to think of what that person has sacrificed to keep this country alive, as well as what they have seen and done. Next time you wanna mock a uniform of the United States Military, think about this. They are the ones saving your sorry ass from a demise you can't even comprehend.

  • @xxohboiee The Marines have the best dress uniform! The Marines definately deserves respect!! :o)

  • @xxohboiee

Im not a Marine yet but i sure as hell respect anyone who has served in the Marines

Not to disrespect about what you said on the blood strip, but doesnt this also pay respect to the fallen Marines

Im soon to be a new recrute and i was wondering if you have served

  • @xxohboiee I have to say I'm an Army guy, but I support the Marine Corps, you guys are pretty badass

  • @xxohboiee that dont mean shit when your dead.. soo bring em all back to there families period.

  • @xxohboiee agreed! im going in the marines show some resppect for your countries elite and the uniform they wear!

  • @xxohboiee you get the blood stripe when you become a NCO not just for being infantry dumbass

  • @zillaxy uhh no. Its time to continue doing what they been doing for the past 235 years. KICKING ASS! They have more important things to worry about then what people think of their uniform which by the way probably cost more then your house car and entire wardrobe combined. The Dress Blues are the utmost Sharp and distinguished uniform of any US Military Force.

  • @zillaxy You are allowed to have your opinion because OUR military fights for you to have that right. But my opinion is that yours is STUUUUUUUUPID! Just sayin'

  • @zillaxy fuckin douchebag, its a dress uniform that represents tradition and history. not what u wear cause its a different day of the week. u must be a fashion fag, sorry dadt

  • @zillaxy are you one of those fashionable metro or gay people caring about what the uniform looks like? Marine Dress Blues are the best looking uniform in the military world.

  • @zillaxy Fact: the USMC dress blues are the only dress uniform of any service that are Red, White, and Blue. true patriots and all Americans. The red stripe on the trousers, also known as the blood stripe, honors the fallen Marines from the Battle of Chapultepec during the Mexican War, where an extremely high percent of Marine Officers and NCO's where killed. changing the uniform would not only dishonor all of those Marines, but the Corps itself.

Respect to all United States Marines.

  • @cheesesteak93 Well, they do change the uniform, but its mostly very minor aesthetic changes over the years. The colours have always been the same.

    Semper fi.

  • @cheesesteak93 wow i had no idea thats what the red stripe on the pants meant

  • @cheesesteak93 im in the army but i have to admit i love the marines dress uniforms, have since i was a kid :)

    way better then the armys!

  • This is horrible. I feel for the newly wed Cpl...a half assed wedding ceremony. :(

  • Comment removed

  • why does the lcpl have a sword? is it just strictly for this purpose?

  • @kcinmartinez

hahah... i've always wondered too... it seems everyone in the military (well i know the navymen in my country anyway) has a just for the 'crossing of the swords' ceremony during weddings.

  • @kcinmartinez Where did he have a sword? I didnt see the Lance.

  • @ihatekate08 He is on the left side, closest to the door. He is easy to spot because he doesn't have the red stripe aka "blood stripe" on his dress blue pants.

  • @MrClarkisgod Oh yep. Can't believed I missed it. My older brother is a SSGT in the Marines so I shoulda caught it.

  • it doesnt matter if its the thought that counts, if youre going to do something do it right and dont half ass it

  • This is highly unprofessional....extremly dissappointed in the USMC and the USMC Honor Guard and especially that particualar NCO calling commands....pathetic

  • @sgtromo92 its the thought that counts asshole

  • This was done very sloppily. Very disappointed that ANY NCO would let this happen this way. The USMC usually has a higher standard.

  • @youngyankee40 Was it sloppy?

  • @youngyankee40 i agree, the swords were off. other than that, at least they look good in uniform, right? haha.

just kidding, i do love the uniform, i'm dating a marine.

  • wow need to work on there sword techniques. sloppy. not trying to hate just an observation.

  • @SEAL1990Blaze Not really sloppy. Sword drill isn't like marching drill, just like weapons drill isn't like marching drill. Some of the commands are meant to be done in unison and others you are allowed to do at your own pace.

  • @MrClarkisgod Ahh i see, but still if i was in charge of this detail i would have it run in unison. thats just me. still even though its allowed to be at there own pace. it looks sloppy.

  • that's one of the best details I've ever seen for a wedding; great job!

  • omg i want this and my fiance told me hello no ughhhhhh its kinda romantic

  • @ilovemymarine182 hehe mine said no too!

but then again he just doesnt know what he wants yet ;)

  • Where's the corporals cover?

  • @cclevo420 at special events like that, its not always required to wear a cover

  • I would have brushed up on my sword manual before taking a video like this, just a tip. Parade Rest was horrid.

  • @wanglimp Okay. You're the best U.S. Marine EVER. Please forgive the rest of us while we simply try to live.

  • @Azishome Wow, how about you be a cry baby about my criticism.

  • @wanglimp1 What are you talking about? I SAID that you were the best Marine ever. My son might disagree with you because he thinks HE is the best Marine ever. But then, he doesn't go around trying to demonstrate it to everybody with manual references and crass criticisms and such.

  • Comment removed

  • @Azishome As a matter of fact, why don't you do your research. This CPL doesn't even RATE the arch of swords. How about you check out page 5-26 of the Marine Corps Drill and Ceremonies Manual.

    MCO P5060.20

  • @wanglimp you are a fucking faggot.

  • @wanglimp I have to agree.. I actually whipped out my Sword and started wondering if all these years Ive missed this extra elite maneuver..

  • @wanglimp Thank you!!! I was watching this picking it apart too!!!

  • Do all Marine wives have to get married this way? :S

  • Well, it is traditional, so I would just go with it.

OK, Marine Sabre Ceremony Sucks! Air force/Navy Ceremony is way better, I mean, the Marines didn't even have good timing, or do the "Kiss to Pass"

  • I think it just depends on the group, some groups actually do it better.

  • @Zethioth I've watched some other ones where the Marines did a "kiss to pass", but this particular ceremony looked quite sloppy, didn't it?

  • @TheOnlineCommunity Indeed, very sloppy, no practice. I mean they even did a Dress Right Dress! Well, we are only human though.

  • Comment removed

  • No you ont have too

  • the reason why the bride is on the left, is because the Marine groom is "presenting" his wife to the detail.

    SSgt Butch D.

  • bride is on the wrong side. she is supposed to be on the left, and SHE is the one to get the "smack" on the butt - the proper Marine Corps tradition way.

    Butch D.

  • lol lovely video!

the little bum slap was funny :P

  • I thought only Officers have swords, is that not true?

  • @ArbalestRaptor: Not true, both Officers and NCOs have swords, two different varieties.

  • Same here AmorAmbee :) We're going to have this at our wedding! SO EXCITED!

  • I am trying to get married as soon as I get of MSG and I'll have a wedding detail for sure. Not a bad job Marines.

  • what is MSG duty like? Do you like it?

  • like everything else it has ups and downs. some of the stuff is retarded but in general i love it. message me if you have any specific questions ill answer them for ya

  • supposed to smack the BRIDE in the ass with a sword not the groom. but still good vid

  • @incognitoants and why is that?

  • Sir, all Marine are warriors. Just as all who are in the service. The sword, in this case, celebrates the bond of warrior Marine with his wife in marriage. It's the bond of Warrior and Love for his family. It wouldn't be a USMC wedding without the sword.

  • what if he accidently stabbed him in the ass you know how much of an asshole he would be lol

  • My husband was in the Marine Corps for 02-06.. we got married in 07 and it was a marine wedding...I LOVED IT!!!

  • WTF!?!?!?!?!? EASY COMMANDS BUT 13LB SWORDS...... ithought it was present arms?

  • Present sword is also a command.
