  • ITS THE FOOOOOOOT

  • where did you get that tank and what filter did it have

  • what type of snail do you have?

  • ive never seen people do smileys like yours, most people do them like :) hehe but i like your betta!!!

  • OMG! I have the exact same tank!!

  • ooh and the same filter

  • hey i have the same 5 gallon tank im planing to get a bigger one foe abby

  • :o) <- mini version of your smileys

  • That is a beautiful fish! I've never been able to find one.

  • where did u get ur betta?

  • I have never seen the plastic net before. Is that your own design? I breed bettas and have just posted up a vid of my latest batch if you would like to take a look. Best.

  • Why the hell do you always do this in every reply? ":O" Too old to do text talk, you sound like 40! >.<

  • @PurplePancakes101

i am 44 so yes, too old to do text talk ... and :O) is a happy face, how on earth is that offensive ???

  • @cheryl4967

Hi, I have the same 1.5 gallon tank you do. I put my betta in it as well. But the top of the tank on the left side will not stay down. Its like its bent. Did you have this problem? If so please respond on how to help DX.

  • how much was the heater?

  • chop sticks thats what i use to get my snails and a couple plants

  • I love ir vids. I love how u got him a bigger home. Most ppl think their betta should be in little homes.

I have my betta in a 10 mush some other fish.

  • LOL if i ever get a white betta, i will name em Vanilla or Snowball : )

  • It's great to see people like you who know what they are doing! Congrats :)

I used to have a hexi tank and I find that they amplify sound more than rectangular ones which causes a little more stress, but that varies from fish to fish haha.

amazing colours! It's apparently very hard to get a pure white fish!

  • Hi, he's such a beautiful betta. Can you please tell me where I can get that plastic bag net (online)? I'm hopeless at using the regular nets. Thanks.

  • your baby it´s beauifull i love him =)

  • What happen to the tank I want to buy it please (please reply back please)

  • what kind of cleaning bottle do you use?

  • @nagstrom

i am not sure what you are asking ... i do not use a cleaning bottle for the tank, i just do water changes :O)

  • Where did you get that awesome net thing?

  • i would love to die and come back as one of your wonderful fishhies:)

  • @briannarocks111222

awww, thanks, that is a nice comment :O)

  • I'm going to feed my betta to my oscar.

  • Beautiful Betta! How's he doing now? (:

  • @Msjuliacheng

thanks :O) he is doing fine ... i loved him from a hex tank to a 5 gallon bow front tank ... just fed him some live worms :O)

  • Cool i have de first tank (the cube one) y have Guppies :D i get it at walmart 23$ with filter and two changeable colors for the light

  • I was just wondering where you got that plastic bag fish net thingy..hahah

  • that's actually a pretty smart idea for a net. That way, the betta can breath but it's not heavy.

  • hes so pretty...prettier then Blizzard XD

  • @cheryl4967 you should make a update on all your bettas i miss them

  • good to see someone pampering their betta :)

  • @Birds1225

one gallon is pretty small if you want my honest opinion ... i did not know much about bettas when i was given this 1.5 gallon tank but when i learned more about bettas i realized they do require a bit more swimming room ... when you have can afford it, you should consider a larger tank ... i have a friend who has a shelf of bettas in bowls ... but his bettas just sit there ... and the bettas i have in larger tanks, swim around lots, are much more active with more space :O)

  • I Dont Know. but can i keep my betta in a 1.5? My mommy said that they dont need big tanks i had mine in a bowl but i got money and bought a 1.5 gallon tank plz reply if its okay!

  • @webkinzgirl008

i think the minimum for keeping a betta is 2.5 gallons and some would argue 5 gallons ... i have bettas in both 2.5 gallon tanks and 5 gallon tanks and both seem to do fine ... many people think they do not require large tanks but that is actually a myth ... bettas originate in rice paddies that are 100 gallons and slow moving rivers so they are used to lots of water, they have been seen to survive in drought though ... but a 1.5 gallon tank is better than a bowl !!!

  • @cheryl4967 oh okay, im earning a lot of money to care for my betta. my old one died on July 4, so i got another one. i cant afford one right now, but im certainly going to buy a 2.5 gallon or a 5 gallon! Though i like the 5 gallon one. Thank you so much for your information and advice!

  • @webkinzgirl008 it would be preferable to stick them inlarger tanks but u can trhow them in a 1gl tank if ur keeping them for lets say ur gonna sell them or u dont hav the money to buy larger tanks

  • bodo lalu . kakar pun malu2 ..

  • I was just wondering where you got your halfmoon betta?

  • @AustinApocalypse

my local fish forum did a group buy from thailand and that is where i got him :O)

  • Very nice video! Great Upgrade! Snowball is beautiful!

    One thing,

I've heard if aquarium snails are just dropped into the water, they could drown. Next time, settle him slowly on a decoration, plant, or some gravel.

  • @SmilensayHello

thank you for telling me that ... i did feel a bit bad just tossing him in like that ... he is still alive though :O)

  • @cheryl4967

Your welcome. And it's great to hear he is still alive!

  • really nice tank and fish, i picked one up myself after seeing your vid, i just got done setting up my 10 gallon! let me know what ya think! check out my channel

  • Thank you I went and bought a 3gal tank today and got all the necessary supplies for it I just have to wait like 2-3 days for it to aerate DX but ya thank you very much

  • What are your minimal recommendations for a betta habitat and care? My sister gave me her betta which I put in our biggest tank (sadly only like .33 gallons o.o) and it's got some small gravel and plants, one floating one in the gravel. I'm worried for it because like 2 days after I clean it a small film will form and it really worries me. It seems to be fine but I just want to make sure

  • @biOh4z4Rd1

i would suggest the bare minimum is 2.5 gallons but some say 5 gallons ... i have several bettas in 2.5 gallon tanks ... if you can, a filter and heater are a good idea too ... bettas are tropical and i keep all mine at 80 degrees ... the film on top of the water is normal for bettas ... i have one betta tank without a filter and i notice the film the most in that tank ... if you can get a bigger tank the fish will be healthier and happier :O)

  • snowball is so cute! I have never seen anything like him before!!!!

  • wow it seems like you have a lot of stuff for your betta that i dont have for mine :/ in what way does the ball of alge benefit bettas? and what are the indian almond leaves for? oh and my betta does that bubble nest thing too, what does that mean? is it good or bad?

  • @xoxooxox90101112

algae balls are beneficial for any fish tank in that they compete for the nutrients the bad algae needs so can help a bit in that department ... i have them in all of my fish tanks, not just the bettas ... but good for bettas because they are soft and i often will see them laying on them ... indian almond leaves help mimic the bettas natural waters and the tannins released by the leaves have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties ... good for bettas :O)

  • @cheryl4967 cool, looks like i need to go shopping for my betta! :)

  • @xoxooxox90101112

a bubble nest is what a healthy male betta will blow in hopes of mating ... it is an instinctual behaviour, neither good or bad ... i have two bettas who will blow nests often ... and two that have never :O)

  • @cheryl4967 ohhhh ok. thanks!

  • i cant decide if i should get a 3 or 10 gallon tank for a betta plz reply

  • @SpiderDriver2456 3 if solo would work but bigger home never hurt any 1 and in a 10gal he could have friends like adf snail corycats and sometimes platie, Id go 10gal if you got the room

  • Where did you get that net? I would love to have one of those for my betta boy! :D

  • @AutobotStingray

they are excellent for bettas and great for my puffers too :O) i posted the link on your channel to the guy who makes and sells them ...

  • @cheryl4967 Thank you very much! :)

  • YOUR BETTA IS SOOOO PRETTY NO OFFENSE AKIO (MY BETTA)

  • Hey, I am having trouble finding a plastic net like the one you are using...did you get it locally or do you know of a website that sells them? I checked ebay and amazon with no luck so far...

  • omg! i love that net! Where did you get it or what is it called? My betta runs away screaming whenever I try net him!

Btw gorgeous fish ;D i hope he's settling into his new tank nicely

  • Snowball is absolutely gorgeous. I've never seen an all white betta.

  • @mydeadsea

thanks :O) snowball is a half moon betta and i just got a platinum crowntail betta, named him snowflake :O)

  • @cheryl4967

    welcome:)

Where do you get them if you dont mind my asking? Im not sure where you're from but around here the pet store bettas are pretty but nothing as beautiful as snowball.Maybe the pet stores here are just lame :(

  • @mydeadsea

snowball came from thailand in a group buy from my local fish forum ... and the platinum crowntail i just bought came from thailand as well, i bought him on aquabid :O) but my other two bettas i got at local fish stores and i found them when the store just got the shipment in so there was a great selection, and almost every shipment will have a couple unique fish :O) do you have bettas ???

  • @cheryl4967

Wow ..... Im sorry. I didn't realize you replied .... THREE WEEKS AGO! (sorry, Im spacey) .. Yes I do have bettas :) I have 2 boys! .. I have a few videos of them on here :D (while they're my babies and I have to be partial to them and say they're adorable, which they are.. they're nowhere near as cute as snowball)

  • I have 4000 sq feet, lol

  • @trainz222

if i had 4000 square feet i would own the 9 apartments above me :O) but do you have 7 tanks ???

  • look at my site, i have the answers to everything fish. bettas dont need heaters. if you want to see how to make a awesome fish tank nothing special see my home page on fishinformants

  • Could you tell me what sand u r using because I want to make a tank like that but for like neons or somthing

  • @myPs3RuLeZ123

it is called carib sea instant aquarium tahitian moon sand ... i bought it at big als online :O)

  • @myPs3RuLeZ123 thanks

  • omg SUCH a prttey fish, and u uploaded it on my birthday april tenth! :D

  • Nice tank! Here are a couple things you should know about.

    1. It's recommended to cycle the tank before you put your betta in. Ammonia spikes for a cycled tank is dangerous. So since you've not cycled the tank, I would recommend you doing 2X the frequency of water changes you would normally do.

2 .Age your water for 24 hrs. before you pour it into the tank. Your betta may develop gas bubble disease if you pour warm water straight from the sink.

I love the plastic bag/net!!! I need to get one.

  • @onyxgrapple

actually one fish in 5 gallons of water is not going to produce enough ammonia to harm the fish ... it is when too many fish are put in an uncycled tank that there could be problems ... i have four betta, two rare, and none have started in cycled tanks and they are healthy ... and there is no need to age water ... people used to age water to evaporate chlorine but these days with chloramine added, aging is useless ... 20 years keeping fish :O) and the "net" is awesome :O)

  • i could not upload one last night i redecorated the 5 gallon completly and it took me quite a while. i got a mystery snail and a marimo ball they are so cool my snails name is mystery

  • i could not upload one last night i redecorated the 5 gallon completly and it took me quite a while

  • i just have to take the video and then upload it

  • i have one i just need to figure how to upload the videos

  • @SpiderDriver2456

i can hardly wait to see your new fish :O)

  • i just upgraded my male betta to a five gallon tank he is a veil-tail croos super delta and you are one of the best fish keepers i ever seen

  • @SpiderDriver2456

aww, you are so nice ... thanks :O) i do love my finny friends ... your betta sounds pretty nice too ... next you need a camera to upload some videos :O)

  • what type is that snail

  • @SpiderDriver2456

that is a red rams horn snail :O) still living with snowball in the same tank although sometimes snowballs eats his antlers ...

  • I have a five gallon standard and I was wondering if I could put three female bettas in it and where did you get that soil

  • @SpiderDriver2456

i am not experienced with female bettas so i am not sure about how many can be kept in 5 gallons ... i bought the sand at big al's online ... it is called Carib Sea Instant Aquarium Tahitian Moon Substrates

  • what kind of net is that? looks like its made specially for bettas

  • @iEssential

i bought it on ebay but the guy who makes them has a video on youtube but for some reason youtube will not allow addresses in these replies ... i will post on your channel :O)

  • Is the tank nice and is the filter loud

  • @duckman252525

if you are referring to the 1.5 gallon tank, it was okay and quiet, but too small i found ... the eclipse tanks are all nice in my experience ... and silent ... i actually moved snowball from this eclipse hex to a 5 gallon eclipse corner tank as i learned that bettas are not really up and down swimmers, they are more lateral swimmers, so a hex is not ideal for them ... the rectangular eclipse was only five dollars more than the hex :O)

  • thanks!

  • um heyy, what tank is that anyways? is it the 1.5 gallon tetra tank? is there anything wrong with it? im planning to buy one, and ive read on the internet its crappy.. and if so how long did u have it for?

  • @shorteeayy

i think it was called a tetra whisper tank ... it was 1.5 gallons ... was not a bad little tank ... i only had it a short time and then gave it to a friend going to university who needed a small tank ... i did add an undergravel heater ... the lighting was not the best ... when i moved the betta to a larger tank he was happier :O)

  • yea they flare its just one of my betta's fin is like spread normally and the other one dosnt spread unless flares ;( spread fins look pretty

  • Ohh and just wondering how did you make the net? it actually does look like its stress FREE o;

  • @shorteeayy

i bought it on ebay but i saw it here on youtube first ... it is great ... i have puffers too and they are not supposed to be moved with a traditional net because they can puff up in air and not be able to depuff and die ... it is awesome for them as well :O) i can't include a link in this reply (for some reason youtube does not allow it but i will post the link for the net on your channel ...

  • VERY nice white half moon betta, i got 1 blue red crowntail and another multi colour crowntail but the multicolour crowntail's fins wont spread idont know why ;( they only spread when flaring?

  • @shorteeayy

your bettas sound pretty nice too .... have you tried putting a mirror in front of the one that won't flare ... i just used the clear net and put my new betta in front of snowball and they went crazy flaring at each other :O) it is nice when the flare some as it makes their fins look so nice :O)

  • what watt heater?

  • @twistedSCIFI

Stealth Pro Shatter Proof Heater 25 Watt up to 8 gallons ... bought two on ebay for both of my 5 gallons ... i am really happy with them ... they are solid black and not glass and have maintained 80 degrees despite the temperature in my apartment, even when there was a heat wave, it still stayed 80 degrees :O) apparently it is approximately 5 watts per gallon ...

  • @cheryl4967 thank you :)

  • Hey where can you buy a half-moon beta like yours? I have a ten gallon tank right now in which i will house a beta?

  • @PinkPolkaify

i would suggest you call your local fish store and ask when their shipment of bettas is due to arrive ... in most shipments there are a few uniquely coloured bettas (including white) and if you get there first, first pick :O) or if you want to spend a little more, you can get a platinum white halfmoon betta for around 70 with shipping on aquabid which is like ebay for fish :O) i just got a new halfmoon today, just about to do a video :O)

  • Wow.... Your betta is GORGEOUS!!! I also have a halfmoon but he is living in a one gallon tank... I have been thinking about transfering him to a more spacious tank so he can swim around happily... Cool video :)

  • @PerfectKittyinPink

aww, thanks for the nice comment ... i have to say i love the little guy ... and to be honest when he was in the 1.5 gallons he was just as active as in the 5 gallons :O)

  • that has to be the most beautiful betta fish i have ever seen, and its also the 1st white 1 ive seen...the lightest color betta ive seen other than that was tan, but that thing is beautiful.

  • @HaloKiller1166

that has got to be the nicest comment i have ever received on any of my videos so thanks :O) i wish i could give you the link to how he looks now that his fins have grown back ... but youtube doesn't allow that :O(

  • hey nice tank and fish i was abbout to get the halfmoon betta too but my mom told me to get the goldfish lol

  • @JennyMars2325

thanks for your nice comment :O) i have a goldfish too, see video response above ... his name is ralph ... i also have puffer fish, a snowflake bristlenose catfish, amano shrimp, otos, two tanks of baby puffer fish, and 300 snails ... for now anyways :O)

  • the tank looks so good. how long do you turn the tank lights on for the plant? i have java fern. you have anubias. that's expensive! but they both need little light

  • @cherryquf

hi there, thanks for the compliment ... i keep the lights on for approximately 12 hours a day ... his old tank was LED lights which were significantly less bright which it is my understanding they prefer ... but he seems to be doing well today in his new tank ... last night after lights out i shined a flashlight in and he was sleeping in the floating log and has been swimming through it this morning lots :O)
