But towards the end, theres this part where there all on the bus and paul goes " Here john, i wan't you to meet my friend from school, george, hes a great guitar player. He knows more than us put together" and thats all you see of george. I like it better that way because we all know what happens!

@Musicland1957 it's actually very accurate to John's life. All of this was actually made according to the interviews of the Beatles and also interviews with John's schoolmates from Quarry Bank.

I had just bought the Double Fantasy Album and was shocked by the news the night I heard he had died. This film gave me a little insight into John Lennon's early life before he became famous.

@Musicland1957 Yeah, that's why it's called Nowhere Boy - John wrote a song called Nowhere Man, and this is meant to be "the boy behind the man behind the Beatles". I think it's really good and depicts John Lennon really well

For the people who are saying "Why no Ringo/George?" This movie isn't about The Beatles. It's not even a biopic of Lennon. It details one episode in Lennon's life, before he became famous. And the movie is more about the relationship between his two maternal figures than his rise to fame in the music world. Having said that, it's a great movie, so just enjoy it for what it is.

Anyway, this was in the begining when the band was called, The Quarrymen, later the Silver Beatles, and then just The Beatles. John and Paul said they got the idea of calling their band, The Beatles from Buddy Holly & the Crickets. There was a novelty called, "I Was Bitten by a Beatle Bug!" which was a song about how a guy's girlfriend was in love with "The Beatles." Anyone remember this song?

Ringo's not gonna be in it, which sucks... but they might feature him in the background. Ringo was famous throughout Liverpool around the time The Beatles left for Hamburg, so we may see posters, or maybe even a flamboyant, mop-headed drummer playing in The Cavern :P

but Paul, and John will be there... and then George for a bit.

@musiclistner94 I'm not too sure and I haven't seen this "biopic"--and, your question's a year old--but it could be because George was about 14 when John and Paul were older teenagers. They weren't sure George was old enough or good enough for a while.
