Just heard recently from Rock it Out Blog that Tool will be releasing their new album Before the end of 2011. So far, Tool still hasn't created a name for their new album & songs, but they're still being debated by the band members.

Granted, my drumming abilities were exponentially improved in the five years that had passed, but the soul is what's missing. Danny is the magickal, spiritual engine for the band. In learning the other album, a great number of entities were summoned in learning the songs, as I had to enter Danny's circle to play the songs right. I also entered his circle whlie learning 10K days. I know what the album is about and what spirits are involved. Let's just leave it at that.
In response to the one who responded. After Lateralus was released I set out on a journey to learn all of their material on the drums. I worked backwards chronologically from Lateralus. I even learned the polyrhythms Danny plays on his electronics. It took me the better part of 6 months to get everything spot on, but once I did it changed my life, my drumming and my magick...forever. I nearly sight read, or in this case sight played 10K days...

Just heard recently from Rock it Out Blog that Tool will be releasing their new album Before the end of 2011. So far, Tool still hasn't created a name for their new album & songs, but they're still being debated by the band members.

Waiting...crossing the fingers...The only thing we can say: if there is a new album from tool, it will be like the others..just perfect. The only thing that make me sad is that Maynard said in an interview that he doesn't want to travel anymore for a tour... Still hope to see them one more time in France anyway and please...please at least give us a DVD live

@MADRAVN420 No they didnt...10000 days sounded way differant than aenema and lateralus...Aenema and lateralus sounded alike in many ways but they were also very differant....its just maynards voice that sounds alike but listen to the actual music....think before you speak

@fatmuffin321 i have listened to the music. the last 2 sound like same album to me. & think before you speak, esp when assuming how someone is listening to things. makes you look quite dumb to do so. im not the only one to think this about the last 2. i would like to hear an effort to not make them sound the same. the earlier albums progressed as they were made, i didnt hear any in the last 2.

Granted, my drumming abilities were exponentially improved in the five years that had passed, but the soul is what's missing. Danny is the magickal, spiritual engine for the band. In learning the other album, a great number of entities were summoned in learning the songs, as I had to enter Danny's circle to play the songs right. I also entered his circle whlie learning 10K days. I know what the album is about and what spirits are involved. Let's just leave it at that.

In response to the one who responded. After Lateralus was released I set out on a journey to learn all of their material on the drums. I worked backwards chronologically from Lateralus. I even learned the polyrhythms Danny plays on his electronics. It took me the better part of 6 months to get everything spot on, but once I did it changed my life, my drumming and my magick...forever. I nearly sight read, or in this case sight played 10K days...

Frankly, I'd find it offensive and conceited for ANYONE who is NOT Danny Carey himself to claim knowledge of every detail and nuance of Danny's drumming as well as the "spiritual-intentions" of his drumming and Tool's music as a whole! Maybe aedomer IS that good on drums, and maybe he's NOT? All I know is that if I were bold enough to claim such superior skill over Tool's/Danny's entire catalog of music and drumming, I'd be sure to post a video of myself to prove it. That's all...
