Ok I've been asked to share what I think the numbers mean:

The Valenzetti equation predicts the exact date that the human race extinguishes itself.

The equation takes variables which are different environmental factors, and outputs the doomsday date.

Somehow the Numbers, once entered in the equation, must give either a desired result (end of the world postponed forever) or something.

Seems like the Hanso foundation has been trying to manipulate these environmental variables.
