This is part of the culture regarding Gothic metal. Gothic metal evolves around the concept of a dialog between the Beauty and the Beast, where the female is the Beauty - angelic, innocent voice - and the male is the Beast - growls/harsh vocals. This Beauty/Beast contrast makes this music genre much more intense and epic.

lol,I found them at The illuminated forum (official tristania forum) where this guy was able to play it in slow motion and write down the lyrics correctly...they have a few more choiring parts n stuff there,you should pay a visit to the site and look for other lyrics :D
